There are a lot of diverse blind bags, and not everyone has the same tastes. Besides, it'll still be a surprise if you list five favorites, because you don't exactly know which one your partner is going to make. ^.^

I second this :) perhaps move the top 5 to a top 10? that way there is a chance to get in at least one fave per wave/special BB ponies and no person will have to sacrifice a favourite.
I think we should keep it at 5 that way you know it's your most fav ones and its easier for your partner to pick. I personally don't know a lot of the BB because we only recently started getting them here so I don't know any of the sets before the metallic/sparkly ones or really any after.

I have a homemade rerooting tool and I love it. The only problem I've had was with needles occasionally breaking, but that is to be expected. It makes it so much easier...I hadn't realized how much time the rerooting tool saved you!
brushables are the playful sized ponies that are about 8cm/3.5in tall with brushable manes and tails. :)
Ooooh, I can't wait to see the pictures! I personally think Roseluck, Cherry Spices, and Firecracker Burst would make beautiful brushables!!!

Well, since I'm waiting to make the first pony, I decided to start the second pony, since I already had the perfect bait for it. Unfortunately, I had some difficulty removing the neck plug, and ended up cutting the neck a bit. I glued it back together -- that's going to be the non-display side -- and it looks better now... However, I just want to let my partner know that I'm really, really sorry about that flaw, and I hope it won't detract from the rest of the pony!

Why should a pony made in a swap be given any less effort or attention to detail that a commissioned pony, though? Any custom that is being sent to another person should be treated the same, whether it's a swap or a commission or a gift.

I agree. I put just as much if not more effort into swap ponies. It has nothing to do with money or getting paid, it has to do with making someone the best pony possible in any circumstance. Sorry, but that just makes me sad that there are people who think swap ponies aren't as important so it's fine for them to be lesser quality. Makes me wary to join swaps if that's how people think about them these days :\
I'm really boring! I like it when they look like the official toys. You don't have to widen their tail holes or style their hair all fancy, and I'm fine with the hair in quartered segments if there're multiple colors. If you WANT to do something new or experiment, that's cool too! Just no pressure ^_^

That being said I do not want to limit my partner in anyway so do what you feel looks good!

ha ha I am in the same boat. I think a bit of the ponies I chose have glittery versions but I think I specified that the one I was trying to list was the non glittery version. That being said, I think getting the same pony done glittery brushable and non glittery brushable would be pretty neat, but maybe a different swap? (Like a both blind bag version swap? oooo)

Everything else is going well, it's a cute pony and should display well, but if it was meant to be the main pony for the swap it's quality is not up to what I would be willing to send to my partner. However, I don't have much interest for it in my collection, and I don't think I can undo the mistakes I made to do something different with it in the future.

The ONLY thing I would mind is anything spider. NO SPIDERS! lol. Honestly...to my partner......have no worries. I will be loving whoever you are making for me. It's just driving me nuts trying to guess who my partner is, and who they making. lol
That's a good idea...if I am able to complete all five ponies, I won't be sending much in extras (sorry partner, but I think the ponies will make up for it), but I am always game for fun, funky, random extras in my box. Like I said before, I'd even like semi flawed customs as they have character and I'm mushy about no pony being unloved. xD That being said, I am not sending a semi flawed custom if I can at all help it. I'm still beating myself up over a pony that had paint issues that I managed to fix. /ocd

One of them has been painted so thoroughly that I can't even see the hair holes, so that will be interesting.That happens to me sometimes. It's inconvenient. I just repoke my holes every couple of layers now to prevent it.

Retro Dolls Us is a good alternative. My Dollyhair shipments have been kinda odd, my first order was at my house in a week but my second one took three times that long and the the third was only two weeks...so it kinda depends on how busy she is I guess

I'm definitely taking this swap as a learning experience... I now know that taking the neck plug entiely is a must when dealing with zip-ties and there is a chance of snapping your sealed paint when trying to bend back the neck plug to put in said-tail.
Hair dryers are GREAT for getting G4 heads soft enough to slip back on the plug.Hmm, I'll have to give this one a go when I am ready to re-assemble her.

He's my 3 year-old Leopard Gecko named Toki (named after the crabby old lady from Ponyo. His personallity matches hers some days) He had an impaction due to the sand in his tank (which I have now gotten rid of completely for him and his two older sisters.) but he's all good now and is recovering well.

the first thing i opened was this adorable turtle dog toy. (which i had to chase down to get in the picture.)

I forget to sign half of the ponies I make, I don't worry too much about it. I actually just packed up 4 for shipping and none of them are signed.

Just received my package from our fantastic host PandaBerryInSpace! She made Stardash and Rainbow Wishes for me, and put in some great extras; candies, temp tattoos and yummy smelling pony soap!

received my parcel some time ago unfortunately I haven't been able to get any decent pictures as my camera is playing up' ...I'll have to look foor picks I think I still have them
