G4 Blind Bag to Brushable Swap -- SHIPPING AND RECEIVING!

I personally would want my pony to just look like a regular brushable, with long hair and that.

My little girl's birthday was today, so now I can stop working on that and get back to ponies (after a good long sleep )! Yay!

Let's see if I can remember all these questions:

1) extras - I like hard candy like peppermints or jolly ranchers, cool/cute pens, stationary/notebooks, customizing supplies, sparkly things . No allergies.

2) I'm going to plan on doing one pony and consider a second if I finish the first and have time. At the rate I've been working recently, I may struggle with one. I definitely wouldn't be disappointed if I only got one pony.

3) I don't really have a preference for the hair. You can get such different effects, they're all pretty.

4) A creative blend of the bb and the cartoon pony. I like creativity!

Is anyone else going to make 2 ponies or just one and extras? 

if i have time i'd like to make two. but we'll see what happens.
hmm extras? well. i'm allergic to wheat, and prefer dark to milk chocolate.
i have a wishlist post in my sig that answers alot of common swap questions.
i like citrus flavors like lemon or orange. also love red vines. hmm so good! oh and my partners favorite book or a list of books to check out (like at the library) is one of my favorites.

If the pony has more than one color in their hair, how would you like me to handle it? Do you like candy stripes? Four alternating stripes? All one color with a streak?

probably the one color with a streak style. like the old school gusty or glory from g1.
but it's totally up to my partner with how they want to handle it.

Just throwing this out there: If your ponies appeared in the cartoon, would you want the brushable to look like the cartoon version, the blind bag version, or a creative mix of the two?

i'm a full season behind in the cartoon. so i have no idea if any that i put down have appeared or not.


I'm having trouble choosing myself. go with the "probably never made into brushable" or might be ones. grrr. want to do one of each. XP hope i have time.

And, to answer my question about multiple hair colors: My favorite is four alternating stripes and candy stripes -- I'm not as big on streaks, to be honest.

I would personally like the pony to have quartered streaks if it allows for it (1/4 of the hair being one colour, then the next quarter being something different.) I'd like it to look similar to the other playful pony brushables.

Unfortunately, I had some difficulty removing the neck plug, and ended up cutting the neck a bit. I glued it back together -- that's going to be the non-display side -- and it looks better now... However, I just want to let my partner know that I'm really, really sorry about that flaw, and I hope it won't detract from the rest of the pony!

I think that's the best idea. If I were to receive a pony in a swap with a flaw that big I'd be pretty upset :\

Yeah, you're right. I think a big part of the reason I was trying to salvage it was because I was like "seriously? I just bought this bait! I have to buy another one?!". I probably would have done it eventually, because it was pretty annoying, but sometimes, I just need to be told to do something in order to make the decision.

I'd be pretty upset either way. I've done the same thing a few times, but I always glue it and sand it down. Since I almost always do FBRs it doesn't make a difference. I would never leave a cut bait unpainted.

See, I'm super super unpicky about these types of things, so they don't faze me. Sometimes, though, I forget that not everyone is as forgiving as me...... I'm so glad, though, that I am able to get support and advice here.

Why should a pony made in a swap be given any less effort or attention to detail that a commissioned pony, though? Any custom that is being sent to another person should be treated the same, whether it's a swap or a commission or a gift.
