There are a few people who have done the swap every year that haven't signed up this year. I will do my best. I try and take things into account like whether you are willing to ship internationally or not (you are so that's fine), but also what kinds of things you like. I try to match partners a little by their likes because I personally find it more fun and easy to shop for people who like the same things as me. But I also try and match people who might have better access to buying the kinds of things their partner might like. So, for example, this year as I'm in Germany I'll probably give myself someone who likes more traditional ornaments because they have awesome Christmas Markets here that sell fantastic traditional ornaments. I definitely wont give myself a partner who only likes Disney Ornaments because I don't have easy access to that kind of thing. If someone said they really like say, Doctor Who, I'd try and give them a partner who also liked Doctor Who or who lives in the UK, because they'd be able to get Doctor Who things more easily.
Does that make sense?
Anyway, I won't make any promises, but if I can I will give you an international partner.

Ha-ha! I'm so dumb, I thought you meant 70* in Celcius for a second! xD I serioisly forget all the time US has farenheight! I was one of those weird kids at school that liked to use Celcius because my family uses it LOL. It's been around in the 70's F here but its dropping down to the sixies and fifties with lows in the med thirties!!! Texas weather is random and could change by then LOL. But last night it got to be 48* F which was shown on my phone as 8* C I was like whaaaat!? I usually don't see that until closer to December! I stepped outside to check and aaaaaaaah! ^___^
Oooooooooooo someone said something about other countries!? Neeeeew Question! How about listing some of our favorite countries!? Because some of us might have international food markets with awesome goodies that would make amazing gifts! I have a candy store that sells literally most candies you can think of across the world! We seriously so many shops here in DFW omg from Japanese to Norwegian to Indian to Australian! I will be sure to try my best to get foreign yummies as extras for my partner! 100% can hook partner up with Norwegian candy, Japanese Meiji chocolates, and Yowie +Tim Tams if interested!

I'am a non-denominational christian so religious ornaments I'm cool with, but I just don't go after these kind of ornaments, or else I like how it looks.

I have two trees:
The small one has Natural Rustic theme ornaments ( think cabin in the woods: ornaments that are made out of wood or tree bark, rusty-looking metal, fake greens and berries....That sort of thing! )
The Larger one has reindeer and horse theme ornaments ( like breyer horses, carousel horses, rocking horses)
I do also collect hand blown ornaments as well, and some novelty ornaments like harry potter, star wars, breyer horses, my little pony, jurassic park/ Dinosaurs, Jingle Beanies.

To be honest there is no candy out there I would not eat ( I mean I LOVE CANDY! ) but there is candy out there I find disgusting!

OMG! I'm a mass collector of things. This is some of the things I collect:
My little pony ( G1, G2, G3, G4 ), horses ( especially breyers and grand champions ), unicorns, pegasus, dragons, jurassic park dinosaurs, star wars, wolves, seahorses, dolphins ( once in awhile ), precious and semi-precious stones, rocks and minerals, model dinosaurs and horses; like Schleich, Papo, and Safari Ltd ( be careful! I do have several horses, mostly foals, from Schleich, but I don't have any from 2015 yet ), native american stuff, deer ( once in awhile ), maple leaf shaped things.

Well Christmas for my family don't start until the 24th and usually we go to a family christmas party. On the 25th we open the gifts slowly, but always save the very best for last so after dinner we open that one. Its the best way to enjoy Christmas all day instead of rushing though all the presents ^^

Regarding hand-made items: how would you feel about receiving a gift or two that was purchased on Etsy?This is basically how I feel about anything handmade -- not only are there really great things on Etsy, but we also have some really super talented members here on the Arena. :)
I shop on Etsy now and then so that probably wouldn't bother me. There are some amazingly talented people out there who can make things which are just as lovely as what can be bought at a store. I have confidence that whoever my partner is, they're going to send me a lovely box. If they think something looks great and that I'll like it, odds are good that will be true. :)
Well, I ended up buying an advent calendar it was kind of a little too perfect to not buy. And also cheap. Haha. I considered buying a kinder surprise one that had the toys and chocolates seperate. But apart from it costing €20, it also weighed about a tonne. So sorry partner no kinder egg calendar for you.

I went to the PO yesterday to inquire about my partners missing ornament package, but they couldn't find it. Said they'd have the manager look into it. Well no call yet.... Just coming by here real quick to update my allergies! I just found out the hard way I'm allergic to shiitake mushrooms!? We made fried rice two nights ago, we went to the Asia market and bought fresh ones to add in the rice! I'm STUPID and was like, " Oh! These smell delicious, I'm going to wash them off and eat them!" before frying them for the rice since the package came with so many. I ate them raw! O____o now I have purple streaks all over my belly, legs, back, and this rash that is severe on my arms!! Antihistamines havnt been helping and I had to get a shot on my hip. Apparently there is even something called the "Shiitake Raw Rash" so I'm not alone!? Soooo weird and RANDOM but yeah no real Shiitake in my Swap box please ha-ha! Although ornaments would be cute! x3

I have one more ornament coming in the mail and then I will have finished the ornament part of the swap. Tomorrow I am going to the Mall of America to get some local goodies. I am really excited about this swap, I think my partner will be happy.
I know this is kinda sucky since poor CapnChan just posted about losing her pet. The big reason behind my absence here was Suki being so sick and basically dying. She passed away last week, and it's been hard on me. We did take in a younger dog this weekend because I thought it might be good for CObi since he has been acting depressed. Things related to Suki though are hard on me and make me burst into wild crying. I know I've almost always gotten ornaments in this swap related to my pets, and if you got something of Suki dear partner I don't want you to feel like you cannot send it. Please just wrap it well and label it, so I can put it aside and open it when I'm ready which does mean it might be a while.
I also updated all my questions from the ones on the front.

I can understand your fears, but you really don't have anything to be worried about. Terrorist attacks are so very unlikely. You'd be more likely getting hit by a car on the way to the Christmas market. I am right up the road from last nights bomb scare and it was nothing. Just people trying to scare us.

Do you ever join a swap, and you put off the main shopping part for whatever reason, but whenever you're out you just buy little things you think your partner might like. And then you look at everything you've got so far and it's an enormous pile of things?Yep! I totally have that problem.
