Playsets are IMPOSSIBLE to buy in germany unless they go on clearance. Alas I have none. LOL. (I am stalking the Hydration Station, tho.. Would it help to know that your future Howleen won't need much of a wardrobe from the Juniors dept. ? Most regular MH wear is tiny and stretchy and will fit her easily. I'll be honest, I didn't want a Howleen. Any Howleen ! But this one just sank her claws (without so much as a 'how do you do', mind you !) into my vital organs and hasn't let go yet.

I had no idea the DDG version had hair that long! Interesting. I love Ghoulia in long curly hair. DotD is my favorite, and I teased my Fearleading Ghoulia's hair into a great big curly mess. Love it.
I call this picture "Bad Hair Day". Skelita spent a few long hours under my skiing jacket while other normal people were actually skiing and snowboarding on Hunter Mountain :biggrin:. I fell. I hurt my tail-bone. Cried. And then angry went to explore what else can I do on Hunter. Good that I took Skelita. A few people were probably enjoying while whatching one adult taking pictures of the doll on the mountain :biggrin:.

I didn't really love signature Robecca doll, but I loved her clothes, so I bought her clothes and accessories, and then got myself the DC version. She looks HOT in her sig clothes:I was very surprised at how much I LOVE my sig Robecca. I only bought her because right after christmas I saw her on sale for only $10. I figured what the heck and tried. Once I got her out of the box though I fell in love. Although I do like the sig clothes on the DC doll. I might have to try that because I have the sig doll in her new fashion pack dress which I think looks amazing. I'll have to take a pic tomorrow. I really like it!

I think you did an awesome job at posing them! I know when I try to pose, they just look like they are standing or sitting, whatever position I've put them in. Some of the doll pictures people take make the dolls look engaged in whatever the photo is showing.
The posing is actually SO ADORABLE, Bow Tie! I'm not that great at photos, either (yet) but the only way to learn is if you try! I think it's a v sweet picture overall. :)
Also, Ravie, maybe you could try... I don't know what it would be in other stores, but maybe a color like Dollyhair's Kiss of Death or Garnet Jewel?

I'm glad you guys like Amelia. She is one of my new top favorite ghouls. She has so much personality, and she is such high fashion material. Between her and Viper (gorgon) and Coco (ice monster), I'm in love.Yeah long hair would take away the attention from the wings and she looks a lot better with short hair. Heck I even kind wanted her to be released with a molded wig with semi long spiky hair shaped like feathers.
LuvlyMelody: Yep, that's the wig from the cat/witch set. Occasionally I comb it with a wet comb to keep it neat and in order, but of all the MH wigs, it's the best in my opinion, and the one that needs the least amount of maintenance. I think the harpy really shines when in a short haircut. In my opinion, long hair seems to take away from her wings; there's just too much going on. Alternatively, I think she'd look just as good in a short black haircut as well.

So it turns out... Chelsea? Kelly? (I can't remember which, whoops.) tops fit Howleen pretty well... except for the sleeves, obviously.That top is from Kelly, who is NOW known as Chelsea/Chelsea is 90s Kelly-sized (whatever). I had actually 2 of those Kellys as a kid.

If the size of a MH hand is that, and the size of those figures are like that....dang those must be some really tiny SW figures. :PThey are Star Wars Miniatures, produced by Wizards of the Coast (until they dropped the SW license a few years ago) for use with both a Warhammer-like skirmish game and for the SW RPG. I believe they are technically supposed to be 34mm minis, but WotC didn't stick to that scale very well. The AT-AT in this photo (http://www.flickr.com/photos/pukunui81/7807344734/in/set-72157629753093226) is part of the same line and therefore theoretically in the same scale as the minis Jackson is playing with.

@Picklepud.. Another thing you need (which i would def. say you know about) when posing/proping up your ghouls..Patience and lots of it.. I learned that lesson yesterday lol.. Oh deffinatly.Ha. You shoulda seen me yesterday afternoon. I was trying to pose three ghouls together on the carpet, which meant no sticky tack. I got them to stand but then one wasn't positioned correctly and the slightly little bump sends them toppling and I have to start over. I was getting super frustrated. In the end, I took a break to cook dinner and then came back and abandoned the carpet and just had them stand on a hard surface so I could use sticky tack. Sigh ...

In my case, it didn't help that the baby was being incredibly obnoxious - pulling books off the shelf, and climbing all over me and trying grab/sit on the dolls. I tried to get her older sisters to play with her while I posed the shot, but they were too busy doing something else and she very quickly returned.
I was able to get the shot after dinner since my wife was home by that point.
Iris is home! She's my Abbey's older sister and a bit of a diva so my other dolls were convinced she'd run off to rehab but she was just hanging out with AcademicSquirrel's gargoyles and getting her hair done. I finally had time to snap a picture. Thank you so much AS!

I just can't get over how well I posed them in terms of their body language.
The upped contrast also makes their eyes look so vivid. :>I have a special trick I do to get their eyes to glow. I create a new layer and set it to overlay or soft light at about 40% and then paint over the eyes with white. It's quite a simple little trick, but the difference it makes is huge! They really look so much more alive.
( and your Cleo has perfect eyes! Wow.. all the other ones I've seen + my own are slightly wall-eyed. ;0; )Yes, I got really lucky with her, especially considering that she was one of the first I bought and wasn't even aware that some had wonky eyes back then. I think one of her eyes is slightly off-center on the horizontal axis, but it's not really noticeable. The main thing is she's looking straight forward.
I also love the campfire-pic. The guitar has the PERFECT size! Jelly! :DWhat's even more perfect is that it's a miniature version of my own full-size guitar.
I know the age-limit is 6.. I'd rather put it at 9 I guess.. x)Me too, although for me it's more that I think the dolls are a bit too mature in appearance and such for kids that young.

Scaris!!!So jelly of the Scaris display. Since picking up Deuce and getting gifted that Frankie my fiance has put the idea in my head that we need ALL of the Scaris dolls, to actually finish a line. And since we got Deuce it would be the easiest (well, not counting the 2-pack, but we get out near TRU enough now I might be able to stalk again..). And he's supposed to tell me NOT to buy dolls. /shakes fist at him. Though, it's my easy in to a Skelita when we can afford her, as he doesn't exactly love her... hehehe.

Ooo lovely Lagoona. I passed on her twice and now I can't find her anywhere!We never saw here here at retail, actually. Bought her off of a lovely Arena member <3! My fiance was thrilled to have such a great birthday present, as it is his most favorite Lagoona.

Yep that is a lalaloopsy octopus, it came with the lalaloopsy seahorse. The seahorse is cute but I only bought it because I thought the octopus was so cute. I didn't realize at the time but it goes great with Goonas outfit theme as well as her vanity that's coming out later.
You are right about her theme! I recently bought four cheap Takochu knock-offs for my Lagoona, otherwise I probably would have settled for this little octopus instead.
Just googled them and the seahorses don't do anything for me, but their underwater creature pals are sweet :)

So, while I apologize for the yawn-festI don't think it's a yawn-fest at all! :D The fact that you have the motivation and skills to sew custom clothes at all is amazing to me. Sure they're basic, but it sort of makes the features of the dolls pop out more! That's something you don't get with their regular, flashy clothing. :) Besides, basic isn't always bad. There's a charm to it. I'm impressed, at least!

It's reversible - sparkly black to this bright disco-ball silver. A bunch of this fabric was given to me so I'll be experimenting... this dress is really basic but I like it, cuz the fabric is so SHINY!! XD

Looks really goodhaha yes those dolls are quite interesting. I have no idea what there were for the longest time either. I just use one of my wife's sewing needles to pierce them (I stab it in a few times and dig out a little bit of the plastic). To get the earring in, I squash the head so it opens up the hole a little more and then gently twist the earring through the hole. Once an earring has been in there for a while, the hole temporarily stays big when you remove it, making it easier to switch the earrings out.

The way you do those portraits reminds me of a few photos my friend took and left only one theme color throughout the whole picture. "Black and White With a Little Bit of Color" they called it. :P Might give that a try myself, next time I take photos.Selective color is one of my favorite photography techniques. Red always seems to work the best.

Hey, this is MH - it doesn't have to match anything, just be awesome. Which it is ! How I would love to go fabric shopping and sew with you, anytime ! Your latest creation looks great on Howleen, and some of the pinks and browns do match. You're better at this than you think, Hamsteh !
Plus, I think you've hit the nail on the head about hoodies. None of the Mattel MH ones fit the dolls they're made for either, probably because they'll look odd when they're not up. The few I've made that *are* big enough to go over Deuce's snake-hawk make him look like he's working part-time doing deliveries for The Stork ! Or, at least, he's carrying his books back there instead of in a backpack.
I think that everyone who loves dolls loves Rement ! I have a few scattered pieces, and it's so cool. Wish there was a place that sold it locally, but then, I wouldn't have doll money, so I guess it works out. Thanks for showing us yours, Hamsteh !

I love EVERYTHING about these photos! I love her hair so much more with the added curls! I love the lip color you settled on. I LOVE the dress! Where did you get it? I've been searching high and low for a gold dress (gold anything really :rolleyes:) for my re-rooted Werecat, Dawn.

SO! I got my Catrine today! Her hair was thick with that gel so I got out my eyelash comb and combed it out, using my fingers to keep the curls neat. The back is still a little messy but I think she looks okay now.
I might try and give her a shampoo and a condition another time.

Oh my word fauna, she is so bright its crazy. I used bougainvillia from DH and then added some water nixie, raspberry sorbet and umm.. a purple lol. I'm so happy with how she turned out!I adore her with that bright purple hair!! I've always like Abbey but other than her sig version the others kind of leave me going "meh". But with this bright purple hair...... LOVE her!!

It took me a while to notice it too! I just got tired of all the shoes being the same (kinda happens in my closet too....) and had to customize them.I am the same way. I still have a smallish pile of shoes and other accessories waiting for me to get around to touching them up with some paint. So many of the pieces have so much detail on them, but you can't really see it because they're just one color.
I had a pair of Oppie's shoes I was going to cut down too, but one sneeze and a badly sliced finger and severed shoe later, I no longer have them. o.OOuch! >_<

Thanks. It's from a Bratz doll the ones that came with the singing microphones, I want to say a Bratz Starz doll? I can't remember which one though. I only bought the doll as it had two wigs with it but I didn't like the wigs on my MH dolls haha but I ended up really liking that dress.

Wowsers! Every now and then I see them on eBay and they go for about that there as well. :(Yeah, I think $50 was a little bit cheaper than what they were going for on ebay at the time. A Japanese friend of mine said she remembers seeing them in a vending machine sort of thing in Japan, but that was not recently. I don't know how easy they are to get even over there at the moment.

I think Twyla is very cute but her eyes are a bit 'dead' compared to Howleen.Could that be a result of her eyes worked to glow in the dark?

I just noticed your bee is flying. That rocks.
Just when I thought Scaris Clawdeen was going to be my all time fave... they release her with blonde hair! I seriously just said the other day I need to thin out my collection a bit and get rid of some of the dolls I'm not overly attached to, and then THIS happens! GAH!I felt this way too Cate! I love Scaris and Scary Tale Clawdeen, but 13 Wishes just knocks my socks off. Her blonde hair is just....stunning. There is no other way to describe her!!
