I'm glad you all like my campfire photo. I'm somewhat dissatisfied with it myself. The pony seems wrong somehow. She's slightly out of focus and I'm not entirely sure why. And she just kinda looks placed in the photo. But then she suits the original hippie theme I had going, so if anyone's out of place, it's Gil. Ah well.

At least my fake firelight turned out well. There's a fire ban in place for the whole of the North Island because it's the driest it's ever been since records began here, so I ended up sticking my flashlight inside the kids' orange plastic cup and holding it off-camera. I then overlaid that image on a second image I took with regular white light (fake moonlight, maybe?).

The upped contrast also makes their eyes look so vivid. :>

I have a special trick I do to get their eyes to glow. I create a new layer and set it to overlay or soft light at about 40% and then paint over the eyes with white. It's quite a simple little trick, but the difference it makes is huge! They really look so much more alive.

( and your Cleo has perfect eyes! Wow.. all the other ones I've seen + my own are slightly wall-eyed. ;0; )

Yes, I got really lucky with her, especially considering that she was one of the first I bought and wasn't even aware that some had wonky eyes back then. I think one of her eyes is slightly off-center on the horizontal axis, but it's not really noticeable. The main thing is she's looking straight forward.

One of the shops I visited the other day had four or five Skelitas and every single one of them had a left eye that was wandering off on its own. 

I also love the campfire-pic. The guitar has the PERFECT size! Jelly!

What's even more perfect is that it's a miniature version of my own full-size guitar.

I know the age-limit is 6.. I'd rather put it at 9 I guess.. x)

Me too, although for me it's more that I think the dolls are a bit too mature in appearance and such for kids that young.

She started life as a Scaris Clawdeen, got her ears cropped, and a full repaint on her face. Being that I love anything that has to do with Big Foot, shes pretty much became my new favorite monster!
