Well that's cool! Hmmm, now should I sell the season 1 set I have now that is going for $100+ on ebay before everyone learns of this.... 

Doesn't say anything about special features, darn... Well, the original release didn't either. But here's hoping they include the FULL version of Escape From Katrina and not the edited-for-time-tv-version where they cut out Katrina's best song!

This is GREAT news! I missed out on the first release of the DVDs, and refuse to pay $100 for them! I simply cannot wait!!

YAY!!!!! I'm going to get it this time. Last time I didn't buy the boxed set. I only bought the single 4-episode DVDs. Any idea on a price yet?

Awesome! I haven't seen the original series, except couple of episodes. This will go to my must buy list. I'm not a big fan of G1, but it's part of brand's history and without it, there would not be what we have today.

Awesome! I have the original DVD set but I'd rather have G1 ponies all over the discs than G2.

We probably won't know until it's out if this release of Rescue from Midnight Castle is the cut version, correct?

That's great. I was surprised to see that the first season was no longer available and so high on eBay. I snagged it years ago and love it.

WOW, this is awesome!  I have the first season boxed set and the 2nd season spread across several discs, but I might get this anyway . . .

The only sad part is it's NOT going to be the complete versions of Escape From Katrina and RaMC, as they list them as episodes.  Unless they also have them on the disc as the full versions, but I won't be holding my breath.

Still--awesome news!
