Pony Brag Arena / Birthday Brag
« on: April 13, 2014, 01:25:34 PM »
My Birthday was on Friday and I got some nice little gifts.

-My fiance traded in enough of his games to get me Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5 Remix for the PS3.  Will play that after I beat Ni No Kuni.
-I got Rarity from BAB from my best friend, plus lunch, candy, and a pinanta of Elmo to destroy at my birthday party.
-My mom gave me gift cards and BAB gave me a reward certificate all for $10 each so I got Sweetie Belle, Scootaloo, and Rarity's Dress
-Another friend got my a vinyl mini and it happened to be Octavia, who I was missing.  He also got me the 10" Octavia and some blind bag ponies.
-With some birthday money I got the Discord Box at Hot Topic.

I'm hoping to find Muffin pony at Walmart tonight when I go grocery shopping.  I hope I find one.

Pony Corral / Re: What kind of collector are you?
« on: April 11, 2014, 02:07:51 PM »
I collect all generations and I am an out of box collector.  I display a few of my G4's and some of my plush right now, but mostly my ponies are put away because I don't have the room to display them.  I don't mind minor flaws, but I dislike huge flaws.  I do the best I can to rescue hurt ponies and make sure someone can fix them.  Ponies, accessories, and merchandise are things I will always collect especially if they are covered with ponies.

I wish I could dig out all my ponies and a camera so I can show off my armies.  I hate living in such a small place.

Pony Corral / Wave 10 Blind Bags Seen at Target
« on: April 09, 2014, 11:03:16 AM »
I was at Target last night and found a box of the Wave 10 Blind Bags and a guy who hates glitter.

I got Snails, Pinkie Pie, Junebug, and Gilda out of 4 random packs.  I like these ones, but I wish there was more variety in characters.  This is the set that has Snips, Snails, Princess Twilight Sparkle, Fluttershy mold 2, lotus blossom, and the two new pegasus molds.  I am so excited.

Got mine on Saturday.  Made the mistake of showing them to my friends cause they all wanted one.  Meep!

I just picked up the Luna tin in Walmart the other day over in Minnesota if that helps anyone.  The poster is double sided just like the tin and you get quite a few cards.

Off Topic / Re: What is your favorite Studio Ghibli Film?

I remembered a fond memory.  My first time seeing Princess Mononoke was sitting around a laptop with my friends during lunch or study hall and watching it bit by bit in Japanese with english subtitles.  We'd get to a good part and then the bell would ring and I'd have to wait forever for the next part.  It was so awesome.

Also if I could vote for my fiance he would totally vote Ponyo.  After watching it the first time he has declared that his favorite film.

Pony Corral / Re: Do you think FiM has ruined the toyline?
« on: March 21, 2014, 05:32:13 PM »
I really think G4 has done well for the toy line and for the show.  When I heard about the new show I was ecstatic to see it.  New ponies, new toys to collect, and a whole new way to love something I've been playing with all my life.  At first I thought the brushable ponies were all we would receive, but I was surprised when we started getting the blind bags, the molded characters from Funko. and the other forms of merchandise.  The variety is amazing and the need to be precise with details is astounding.  Little kids can enjoy the toys just as much as we adults can.  I can't wait to see what they have planned for the future.

I like having different versions of the same ponies, but if they look just like a previous one I don't get it.  Like with blind bags if wave 1 applejack is the same as wave 2 then I don't get her.  There is no visual differences.  The ones with the rainbows on them are more likely to be repeated because no two rainbow designs are the same.  So as long as there is some type of difference I will get variants.

My Grey Wolf BAB Turka is one of my favorite plushies to cuddle, but the thing I need the most is my baby blanket.  If I don't have that I don't sleep.

I love that movie but I haven't watched it in awhile, but my niece had me watch the heck out of it while she was living with us.  We never got through it each time so we always had to start over.  I hate that.  May have to watch it again.

Off Topic / Re: The love for Disney!
« on: March 12, 2014, 10:44:01 AM »
Oh my god I love Disney.  There are three shelves on my DVD shelf dedicated to Disney and I told my fiance that those are never gotten rid of unless I say so.  I have only gotten rid of one movie and that was Home on the Range.  It was okay, but not the best.

However my favorite Disney movies are:

-Beauty and the Beast: I am one of those who wished the Beast never transformed.  His human form was eh at best.  Belle is also my favorite Disney Princess.
-Oliver and Company: I wore my Oliver sweatshirt until it was too small to wear
-Hunchback of Notre Dame: A big risk for Disney and one that is done well.
-Princess and the Frog: Dreams are great, but it is nice to see someone working to get that dream at the same time.
-Tangled: Eugene is my favorite Disney prince, end of story.  Also I wish Maximus was real.  He made the movie even more epic.
-Brave: I love Scotland and I had to have a plush of Angus.  I love Clydesdale.
-The Lion King: I remember seeing this in theaters and sobbing when Mufusa died.  Lion King is the one movie where I have collected the most memorabilia.  I even found one of the rare Douglas plush Simba's for 3.99 at Goodwill.

I am also one of those rare people who likes the sequels even though they are not as good as the original movies.  They are all special to me.

I had to buy the 40 years of sunny days DVD set.  It has a ton of my favorite skits and it reminds me of all the best life lessons that Sesame taught me as a good.  My favorite is "Here, fishy fishy fishy" done by Ernie and Bert.

« on: March 12, 2014, 10:16:59 AM »
Ni No Kuni Wrath of the White Witch is my new drug and when I'm not playing that I play Animal Crossing New Leaf or Super Smash Brothers Brawl.  I just finished playing Lego Harry Potter Years 5-7 and the first Lego Star Wars.  Still need to beat the second one, but decided to take a break.  On March 20th a new version of Pokemon Trozei is coming out on the 3DS that I am totally anxious to play.  Hurray for Pokemon.

I am 27 years old and I can't sleep without the blanket I had since I was little.  I'm not afraid to admit it.  It went to every sleep over and I was an emotional wreck when I left it at my grandma's house.  I refused to sleep until I got it back.  Luckily, grandma saved the day and brought it to me.
