Well, actually... I've got a rough sketch going but I have to tell you, it's very similar to yours. It is also a fairytale of sorts and will have a boy and a girl in it. Perhaps even a book. It is totally unintentional, of course... I didn't realize how similar it was until I started sketching it out. I can come up with something else entirely if you prefer.

I'm at a loss for words... :dropjaw: How gorgeous is that?!! And mommy and baby Milky Way!!! Two of my favorite ponies! :frolic: I love the shading, that she's using her magic to lift the bow, the details on the wings, and I have a MLP barrette just like that one! You even added the little indentation things on their legs like G1s have :D And I see Baby Milky Way's little tooth! ^.^

Sundance and Megan are probably the girliest pony I have so I decided to use them for the girly category. I have a bit of problem with doing girly, I just do not see great boundries between girly and boyiesh or cool, its very blurry to me, so I went with what is usually concidered female like ribbons and flowers.
I'm self critical as well when it comes to drawing... and everything else! :lol:
I need to kick my butt into gear and start mine! I've had a mind to do something similar for a while now, and i'm so excited to have a solid reason to get it done! ^.^
Okay, I may very well re-submit if I get time, but here's my entry for 'food'. I'm sorry it looks similar to another participant, honestly, I didn't copy your idea, and I feel terrible about it, but I had the idea when I was struggling to get to sleep last night (someone I care about has just been told they have major heart problems after the passed out on holiday and hit their head), it was supposed to be a take on 'California Girls' by Katy Perry, and the scenes from that music video. ^.^
The brown river is a chocolate river, and those sticks are actually lolly pops XD

Good that you like it^^ It may look simple but it took both a lot of time and work, placing and colors took most of the work and time. It had to be perfect! and the castle was hard to do too...Im not really the type of artist to do a lot of architectural drawings so that was the hardest bit for me.
About 1/6 of the way done with my entry (my precise fractions should make sense when I'm done). Totally gotta enter this, my birthday is June 30 too!
Maybe you should make a list with links to all the entries? Would make it easier than looking through the whole thread.

Eee! I LOVE it!!! :squee: I love how she's swimming around Flounder and her hair is fantastic! I love the little fish hiding in her hair (they remind me of Lady Lovely Locks Pixietails!) and the little sea horses hanging off the end of her hair! Too cute! It's not a bad thing (drawing) but those computer images...Wow! I love the bright colors. So does anyone have a suggestion of a program I could buy and add onto my computer?I think both traditional drawing and digital drawing each have their own merits :) I see them as mediums, like how, for example, pastel and watercolor pictures are very different yet beautiful ways of doing art. (Btw, your picture is really nice! I like how you did the texture of the bears' fur)

Ariel seems to be a popular choice :biggrin: And yours is beautiful, HorsingAround! I love how each Ariel is so different :) I LOVE her beautiful fin, the bubbles, and the little sparkles here and there. Sparkles and bubbles FTW!! Her hair is so nice and flowy and of course Flounder looks adorable :) I really, really like the background. Especially all those blues and I like the shiny pearl in the clam shell :D
Unicorn_pops, she's the most adorable little chocolate pony!! I love G1 style and isn't she just the cutest little chubby pony??
