PQOTD #6 12/22/16 What is the worst MLP toy concepts of all time?

Here's something completely out of left field.  But Paradise Estate.  It was a well executed toy, but the concept behind it was rather stupid.  After building the ponies and their world to fantastical, we get a rather generic house with generic fixtures.  Again, the actual toy is amazing, but doesn't really fit.

Also, Paradise Estate coming in meant the ponies giving up Dream Castle in the animated version.  Couldn't we have gotten can updated Dream Castle with a throne room, ballroom, royal bed chamber, and great hall instead?

Agree, i personnaly can't stand how it went in the show.

G1 teeny tinies - we already have baby ponies and newborns, and these are smaller than both of those. What exactly are these supposed to be? Also, they look more like cat gremlins than ponies.

Very true!! I'm put off by the cat-like appearance. I'm glad I'm not the only one.

I have to say piggy ponies and beddy bye eye ponies are my least favorites of G1's. Mainly cause the eyes.

From G2's the pose that has the back legs moving and nothing else. (Like Queen Sundance)

Not to mention that most of the accessories with Paradise Estate weren't even usable with ponies. They don't fit in any of the chairs - only a few actually fit in the bed - and the utensils just left me baffled. It wasn't made for ponies, it was made for megan size dolls.

Speaking of Megan... I like what I've seen of her in the cartoon, but the dolls of her are completely unappealing to me. I can't put my finger on what I don't like about them but I've never had any interest in owning one, and I originally came here because I collect dolls.

I agree on Teeny Tiny ponies, their proportions are just grotesque. Are we SURE they aren't cats, I mean one is named "Little Whiskers".

Yes, this. I think she was a character little girls were supposed to "identify" with and see themselves as, which gave her a good role in the show. I don't think the dolls, however, looked anything like the animated Megan, or like anything from MLP at all. The dolls just didn't fit with the ponies.

What?  Just...what?

I think Megan was handled poorly all around.  When they introduced her in Rescue at Midnight Castle, she had potential.  What if she was accidentally trapped in the ponies' world and had to depend on them for protection from a world that suddenly took interest in her?  However, they instead turned her into the perfect little wunderkind who the ponies couldn't do anything right without (even though her actual contributions were almost nil).

I still like an idea I had come up with where she becomes the Weather Witch's apprentice.  It would give her something to do besides boss the ponies around and a more interesting outfit than the white dress.
