AGREED!!! its so, so disappointing that funko has licensing deals with so many of my interests, but the art style of their dolls is so. Ugly

See for me, that's how I feel about BBEs. Like, if I had that as a kid that would be freaking nightmare fuel...

For Flutter Ponies I don't think it's really the worst concept, but certainly bad execution.

The Drink and Wet baby nappies changed to show a print when wet, but when dry went back to their original state. So they were essentially everlasting. I had Flicker new and my sister had Rainfeather and we had a lot of fun with them as pony water guns...sort of...

But the UK comic didn't ever refer to them in a toiletry capacity. They would splash around in water and get printed panties that way. So we never really thought about what they were really designed to do all that deeply.

Hasbro basically exploited the concepts for dolls at the time. Drink and Wet Babies are no more ridiculous than Drink and Wet Dolls. Who really wants a toy that has a toilet issue? The pregnant pony also coincided, I think, with Barbie's pregnant doll release. I agree that one is a bit weird, though.

I would say scented ponies that have scents nauseating enough to be counted as weapons of mass destruction. Namely the Sundae Best. I think I like precisely nothing about them as a set, with their changed moulds, and generally horrible scents. They're hard to store because they cross-pollinate. I really don't like them at all.

Flutters were a bad design decision but I love them because of how beautiful they are. So bad as a toy, like LM said, but amazing to look at when winged

I agree about Sweet Kisses, a situation compounded by the disturbing story on the card for the UK set, as well as their very dodgy names.

Tafetta, I don't think I'm ever going to be able to un-see the image of that Sweet Kisses pony. The angle of the shot plus the weird lipstick is just no.

I like the Drink N Wets concept better as their designs appear when they get wet instead of the selling point being that they wet their diapers and  need to be changed. I never had a drink and wet doll either although I have a vague memory of  wanting a Drink n Wet pony but my parents got me something else instead.

Yeah I never liked those ponies either, it was just a huge mass of fluff on top of a pony. Whats Hasbro's obsession with scented ponies?

I actually thought that they were kinda cute    I have a Reverse Flash (from the TV show "the Flash") and he's the cutest little guy. I like the sitting pose of the MLP funko Pops, but I like the Mystery Minis better.

I think the concept was for them to be for more "baby doll" style of play.


Good call on the Drink 'n Wets, I hate the concept (for dolls, ponies, or anything else). "You know what little girls need in their lives?  Simulated urine."  No, just no.

I don't like scented ponies either.  The worst I've ever smelled is G3 Citrus Sweetheart.  She had an overpowering, eye-burning scent.  Actually gave me a headache.   Chocolate Chipper was another terrible one, not because her smell was overpowering, but because she just smelled bad.  Nothing like chocolate / cookies.

Yep but they weren't like the g1 ones.They were baby doll-like plushies with a hard plastic head.

Beddy Bye Eyes-for being unintentionally creepy and for rusting

Flutter ponies-for having fragile wings, still love em though.

Those beaded hair G4s-for being ugly, nonsensical, unbrushable

Dance n Prance-for being gorgeous and unique, but getting ruined by their gimmick.

Moving blinky eyed G4-for presumed soul sucking

Pop G4s where you assemble them yourselves, for being cheaply made, flimsy and crappy.

All jointed ponies in every generation. Boo! Shame on you!

Clip on fake wings in G2 and G4. Hasbro how could you?

I know I am in the minority, but I have to say Sea Ponies. They were basically bath toys that weren't designed to be in water without molding up the inside. Plus they don't have symbols. Nope.....not a fan of them.

The old me would have also mentioned Pony Friends because.....well....they aren't ponies. BUT......now that a few have joined my herd, I have softened up on them quite a bit. Plus.....its odd, because I LOVE Fairy Tail birds. lol

To me, this was one of the weirdest concepts ever, I think that its really strange that they would make this for kids. I mean a horse giving birth, I know that horses do give birth, but to me, its just strange that they would make this into a kid's toy.

I guess you've never seen Puppy and Kitty Surprise? Same concept but with stuffed animals and the pups/kittens in mom's womb varied. Plus you could stuff em back in.
