What's the worst My Little Pony toy concepts of all time (any gen)?

To me, this was one of the weirdest concepts ever, I think that its really strange that they would make this for kids. I mean a horse giving birth, I know that horses do give birth, but to me, its just strange that they would make this into a kid's toy.

What's some of the weirdest MLP toy concepts that you have ever seen?

Here are my choices:

* The Beddy-Bye Eye baby ponies.  The "blinking eye concept" could have been okay, but not with creepy glass doll eyes.  Also their head molds are just terrible, with those bulging eyesockets.

* The Sweet Kisses ponies.  "Give her a kiss and the lipstick disappears!", the backcard says.  What was Hasbro's obsession with kids kissing ponies?  I didn't do this with MLPs.  Did anyone?

* The flutter ponies.  They're beautiful, but it's ridiculous how fragile their wings are.  Shouldn't have made it into stores like that.  Couldn't they have used a flexible plastic instead of something so brittle?

The Drink n Wet Baby ponies. Was Hasbro planning on releasing a seperate set of Drink n Wet diapers for them?

I don't think that I know how the Drink 'n Wet ponies work. Can you explain?

Here are my choices:

Yeah I would say that the beddy bye eye ponies were some of the creepiest ponies of all time. I don't know how they thought that kids would actly want to buy them.

Sweet kisses ponies make absolutely no sense. Kids are going to play with the ponies, not kiss them. 

I think that Flutters were a good concept (we had some ponies in g4 that had wings, but they were attached inside the body). Hasbro ruined the flutter ponies with the stupid fragile wings, how could they have thought that they would work?! These are little girls.

When you fed the Drink n Wet baby ponies a bottle of water(I think someone said there was a hollow tube inside that the water went through) they would wet their diapers and designs would appear on the wet diapers. I know it's a popular concept for baby dolls but not sure why Hasbro thought it was a good idea.

Didn't the littles girls in the MLP commercials kiss the ponies at the end?

Yes, there is much pony kissing in the g1 commercials.

My pick for creepiest / weirdest would be soft sleepy newborns. I remember seeing a pic of those for the first time and going "What the heck is that?!"

You guys already listed what my bf would have picked--he's not a fan of the Drink 'n Wet Babies.

I just got my first BBE yesterday and I think she's adorable. But from what I hear they can be prone to rust and when that happens they can look creepy / weird.

Haha, that is a stupid concept  so you could only feed them so many times before you ran out of diapers.

She's called the Surprise Twins Pony.

Her concept never struck me as strange, perhaps because I've always wanted to be a vet? I don't know, lol.

Personally, my vote is cast with the Drink 'N' Wets. Never understood why 'wetting' toys were even a thing in the first place.

Thanks ladybastilla. It seems like all of the early commercials showed the little girls kissing the ponies and saying "I love you My Little Pony"  Maybe that's where Hasbro got the idea for the Sweet Kisses Ponies?

I wish Hasbro had made flutter wings more durable. I was really careful with Yum Yum's wings and they broke off.

I can't pick just one:

*The Fancy Pants Baby Ponies: Really? Ponies with diapers painted on them?

*The Drink 'n Wet Babies for the reasons already discussed.

*The second set of Princess Ponies: They'd be beautiful if not for the tinsel sprouting from their foreheads.

*The third set of Princess Ponies: I don't know what Hasbro was thinking with those eyelashes.

*Flutter Pony wings, as already discussed.

*The crazy hair on Perfume Puff Ponies
