Before Alicorn, what did you call a horse with a horn and wings?

Winged Unicorn
Horned Pegasus
Pegacorn
Unipeg
Unicorn
Pegasus
I didn't call them anything before because they don't exists in any true Mythology

Ok this really isn't related to FiM as it's a general stance on what people called this creature before FiM made Alicorn more popular.

I was having a conversation with my mom about events and stuff which ended up leading up to what people called a horse with both wings and a horn.. I mentioned that now Alicorn is what most people are using and that even though I will say the word I don't like to refer that word to the horse with wings and a horn.. As a kid I always said Winged Unicorn..

Then I remembered something.. I used to watch Sailor Moon series and one season had Pegasus.. However, Pegasus had a horn.. So now that I think of it, maybe the Japanese didn't have a word for a horse with wings and a horn so they used what was likely more logical (or it could be their idea of Pegasus actually had a horn)... then mom told me that she would still called a winged horse with a horn Pegasus because it is a WINGED HORSE.

It's just interested to see people's take on a mash-up like that. So alicorn aside, what did you call them before hand?

Note: This topic is not meant to start any arguments, etc. and I know that there have been topics before one this but I was just curious.

For me, it was either "Unipeg" or [mostly] "Winged Unicorn". I honestly had never heard of the term "Alicorn" until FiM used it. xD:

And yay for mentioning Pegasus from Sailor Moon - he is actually one of my favorite characters from that series. ^^
Thank you so much for the adoptable, Corona! :D

I always called them winged unicorn or occasionally pegacorn. I still usually call them one of those since alicorn is such a weird word for me after decades of not even knowing the word existed.

I called them Alicorns. :P  Long before FIM came along, my OC was a newborn alicorn named "Ali". It was my understanding at the time that "Ali" was latin for 'wing' or 'fly'. Which I believe is actually wrong, but it's what I thought then. Before then, I probably went with 'winged unicorn' though I don't remember precisely.

My only issue with that is that the wings were not true wings, but accessories XD But also this isn't really about MLP ;)

I know, wish the had not been made like that, I could have a G2 Alicorn army instead of G2 Unicorn Army :) LOL

I never came across Alicorns before FIM to be honest, Never ever until G4's :)

I would just say Unicorn-Pegasus plain and simple.  I believe the true term for alicorn is a unicorn's horn, like in the movie Legend when the horn was removed from the female horn for its power Jacks says, "we must get the alicorn back."

I called them "Pegasus-Unicorn" from as far back as I can remember (we're talking like 5 years old) and it wasn't until about college that I heard they were actually called Alicorns.  I still use the terms interchangeably :)

As a kid I called them fakies because real Hasbro ponies did only have a horn OR wings.
Till this day, I still don't like them that much.

I called them a winged unicorn. Because alicorn is the word for a unicorn's horn. Not the animal itself. Fun fact, Webster's Dictionary lists the first usage of alicorn as 1966.

Of course what it is referencing goes back to the Middle Ages. When reported alicorn's where gifted to nobility.

80s kids. Anyone remember a picture book, featuring a winged unicorn named Whisper?
Think that was the name. I had several of them from my school's book fairs.
