I am not a huge fan of the dark. If I have to go down the horse paddocks for any reason after dark I always imagine werewolf type animals stalking me!

I love the dark. In fact, it can never be dark enough for me. I even have to cover the digital displays on my electronics otherwise they cast too much light :( I've actually been very bummed out the last week because the city installed yet another street light that now shines directly on our yard. There isn't anywhere around the house I can go with my telescope now *sigh*

I would love to visit somewhere that is absolute dark. The kind of darkness your eyes never adjust too. I know there are some caves like that. Also a dream of mine is to go to a dark sky park (and bring my telescope, of course!) so I can see the night sky the way it's meant to be seen <3

Sometimes I get rather certain there is something behind me in the dark..... Something that isn't named Nori I mean, seeing as she follows me everywhere.

I used to love the dark when I was younger  but nowadays, I'm usually afraid of it after watching something scary or reading about something scary :s (slenderman, black eyed children... *shudders*  :scared: :ack: ) I'm afraid to even go out by myself at night due to that XC

I am mostly annoyed with the dark because I have terrible night vision.

I usually love the dark! But I can get a little scared after watching a horror movie or so. I recently watched the Orphanage and I nearly sleeped with the lights on the night after when I was alone. Those creepy little children.

I think I went through a stage when I was very young and I believed in monsters who lived in the closet and came out at night. I'm okay these days. (I am in my 30s, though.)

Hehe. I think it's great that so many of us (myself included) are uneasy in the dark - even though we are 'adults'.  :)

Not of the dark, but of robbers breaking into our house at night while my parents were away. I was already a teenager then, and I always locked myself in my bedroom with a big knife, just in case.

I'm usually fine in the dark in spaces I know but I have terrible night vision so I can feel a little uneasy being out at night. I never needed a nightlight as a kid, but I have been known to freak myself out with scary movies but it never stops me from sleeping.

However, and this is pretty stupid, I sometimes do still skitter upstairs after turning all the lights off imagining that a Velociraptor is behind me in the dark. Totally irrational!

My dog sleeps in my room so he'll protect me, in fact he's more likely to be spooked by anything than me. :P

Not afraid of the dark but what might be in it. Living in a city where a serierapist haunted for years I still avoid certain places after dark even tho it's been years since he was inprisoned. Being afraid of the dark is pointless as the sun sets early afternoon half the year.

The only thing that kinda scares me is looking into a mirror in the dark. I try my best to avoid it. :lookround:
