I love Sesame Street! I just bought a bunch of Sesame Street records, heh. They made albums. Including COOKIE MONSTER's COOKIE DISCO. Yes, a Cookie Monster disco album.

Who else remembers the "Healthy Foods" rap that Cookie Monster did?  That was my jam as a kid, and honestly, it was because of that song that I tried many vegetables that I love now!  That's why I had to choose him, lol.

Also had to choose Ernie, because of his "Imagine That" song.

I looooved Cookie Monster when I was little.  I used to eat crackers Cookie style (my poor mother...)
Now I really love The Count!  I love the "Batty-Bat Song" especially after I was able to teach it to my niece (who would dance along with the bats).
Grover was always a household staple favorite Muppet!  He was my mom and dad's favorite, so we all kinda grew up with some instilled Grover love!  I love Super-Grover, but I absolutely LOVE "The Wubba Wubba Song", which my mom will still sing to me, and I love him in the opposite song (near..... FAAAAAAAAR!)

I always loved The Count.  He was my favorite as a kid.  I love Snuffy too, and Oscar was always hilarious.

I know the book you're talking about!  I made a special point to find that book for my son.

My son's first word was Elmo - very sweet! He had a cuddly one given to him by his 'Aunty Almu', my best Spanish friend who wanted him to learn a word similar to her name! It worked!
I worked at Disneyland Paris a few years back and had some training from Andy Stone of the Henson company (he sometimes plays Swedish Chef amongst others) - he was awesome, puppeteering is awesome, the Henson company is Super awesome and as a result - who DOESN'T like Sesame street! Miss watching it in the UK, wish we had it. x
