I recently came across old episodes of SS for my kids, who watch the current show. It was amazing to see everyone who is still there!

Kermit, darling, you are and alwys will be my favorite Muppet.
Grover, you are the sweetest little furry blue monster I've ever known.
And Oscar, what would we do without you?!

My dad used to have a pool at his old house where I grew up.  It was kind of in a wooded area, so we had a lot of wildlife come around.  Well, many times, I would be swimming, and a frog would jump on in the pool.  As a young kid, imagine my shock when I would try to swim with the frog, only to find that the poor creature, to put it delicately, wasn't much of a fan of swimming in chlorinated water.

OMG, cleverLC!!!  I LOVE Teeny Little Super Guy!  His theme song never left my head in all my years of life.  I wish they had made cups that you could buy that had his picture on them.  That would have just been amazing to have my own personal Teeny Little Super Guy!

I've just finished reading 'Street Gang', a book about the history of Sesame Street, and how groundbreaking it was. I only saw it when I was a teenager, hasn't been on telly here for years, but I and my mum still use various catchphrases such as
 'Bert? Bert? You there, Bert?'
'That's Two Sheep! Ha Ha Ha!'
And of course songs such as 'I've Got a New Way to Walk', 'C is for Cookie' and my particular favourite 'Yup Yup Yup Yup, Family'
My fave character is Grover, as he was in some of the funniest sketches (remember when he was a waiter and tried to remember the bald blue headed guy's order for a burger?) , and my fave non-muppet was Grover's pal, gorgeous little Jonjon.  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gk7mkIAMc7s

I am a huge Henson fan! I voted for Count Von Count though. I find him to be hilarious.  On a side note, I was so bummed when his muppeteer, Jerry Nelson died this past year.

Sesame Street has a lot of charm and wit that appeals to both kids and adults. Watching it on TV on occasion makes me feel like a kid again.
