G4 Predictions - I predict in 20 yrs...

Curious!  What do you think will be the trends for the G4 market when their collectors grow up?  Who will be the new Mimic?  Which accessory will be as elusive as the yr 3 Sea Pony Shells?  Which ponies will be as numerous as Peachy?

*Ahem*

I predict in 20 years -

The Fashion Style Ponies will be the new "Big Brother" ponies.

My guess is that a lot of children will have been given the smaller girls, and later they will want the larger ones to play with, along with all the clothes and such.  Making them hard to piece together, and highly sought after.  Also, let's be honest.  AJ's hat rocks!

I think that Pinkie Pie will easily be the least rare and easiest to come by pony.

I can see that orange carriage from the French exclusive Carousel Boutique being ridiculously hard to find. Almost sorry I sold mine...

I predict that ponies which appear in 3-pack sets only and glow-in-the-dark Zecora (if she stays only one like this) will be htf.

Mane6 should be mostly really common, but characters that don't appear in the show could be also htf since they are the minority (for brushables).

Maybe some of the mini DVDs and especially masks the from masquerade sets. And also those backcards from 3 pack sets. As far as I've seen, people don't usually keep them.

To think that g3 came out so long ago, and very few are worth much of anything... The first wave of loose G3 is worth like zilch.

I was thinking about this the other day, and I think the less popular ponies now will be what goes crazy in the future...tose, and the clothes and stuff for the FS ponies...noone seems to keep track of them either

I have also wondered why the G3 ponies have gone down in value so much? I think that they are very cute and did come in a lot of nice colors.  I really cant say what will happen with the ponies.....

Yeah, I think the poor quality and massive quantities will really make them an undesirable collectible toy in years to come.  There's nothing special about them... they just look so cheap and small.  You see a beautiful G1 and you can understand why someone put it in a rotating UV-film case with LED lights shining on it - it's a gorgeous collectible!

Agreed. I think that G4, as a toyline, will not look very impressive once the show becomes "outdated". There seems to be a lack of everything and the whole gen is just filled with re-releases. I think the early, non-show characters will probably be some of the harder to get ponies.

I think the only sought after ones will be the international exclusives (Rainbow Flash, Star Swirl, etc.) Blossomforth could be worth more than normal if she doesn't get a rereleases. I don't see any of the main six having any sort of value in the future
