O Christmas Tree, O Christmas Tree
« on: December 15, 2012, 12:53:02 PM »
We're putting up our tree today! :xmas: It's artificial, but if I want that Christmas tree smell, I can go across the street and sniff the neighbors evergreens! They might look at me and go  though. Hee hee.

Bonus question: Of those who are observe Christmas in this way, do you prefer real trees or artificial? :)

My allergies and asthma thank me every year we put up an artificial tree.  ;)  We've had ours up since the Friday after Thanksgiving.

We have three trees - one great big kahuna in the living room (put up last Saturday and still in the process of being decorated), a ceramic one my mum made aeons ago (about two-and-a-half feet tall, little plastic lights all over, and the whole thing lights up), and a miniature one in my son's room.  Oh, oh, make that four - I got him a "magic" tree (salt crystal variety) and that's on his bookcase. :xmas:  Might wind up with five if I make one for my ponies.

Real trees smell wonderful and I do love them, but we've had artificial for as long as I can remember.  Indigo had a great Frasier Fir scent this year, and I'm kicking myself for not picking it up, it'd smell like a real tree at least!

Wishlist - I'm back on (semi-) active buying again... can't buy everything on my wish list all at once (yay, back-to-school and tuition fees), but I am still looking to plump up my collection a bit more: http://mlparena.com/index.php/topic,380638.0.html

We're not having a christmastree this year as space is very limited around here at the moment due to renovations. I'm hoping it's all cleared out to next year because I really want a christmas tree!

And I do prefer real ones. Nothing beats that christmas tree smell :D

We've got one "big" one in the living room, a smaller MLP only one in my pony room, a teeny one for on the kitchen island and a medium sized one for the tack room in my barn.  AND I still have ovr 100 ornaments that won't fit on any of them.  I keep trying to convince my husband that we need to go buy another tree (or three), but so far, he's not budging.  I live all year long waiting for this time of year!

No tree.  While I do observe Christmas, I'm an adult living alone so I don't really see the point in buying a tree.  It's money I don't need to spend, and I'd rather keep my storage space and money for ponies!

I wish we could have ours up, but there's just no room at our place to put it anywhere and both my husband and I have been severely overworked lately, so we wouldn't have had the energy to put it up even if we could. Next year I plan to have it up for sure!

I wish I could have a real tree, but I'm allergic. :( So I have two artificial ones. But this year everything is in storage since I'm moving states in a few weeks. Missing my Christmas cheer!

Just got the one up in the living room.  We used to have live trees in the past, but about 3 years ago, we bought an artificial one.  This way a tree doesn't have to die, and it's much easier to set up!

I want to put up a Chriustmas tree so bad! My boyfriends mom as well as my own have offered us free artificial trees since they both got newer ones. They are nice trees! However due to storage issues and my lovely cat my boyfriend and I decided not to take one of them. My cat Scarlett thinks that taking the tree out is a blast( yes she does knock it over!) and she loves to hide and break my ornaments. I have only had one tree up since I got her 4 years and 5 months ago lol. Lets just say that that poor tree was naked from the waist down and I lost several ornaments due to my "mighty ferocious tiger". I can't even put up lights for fear I am going to have a similar situation to the one shown in the movie Christmas Vacation. Despite her antics, I wouldn't have her any other way. She keeps my life interesting :) So with that said, I will just have to enjoy the Christmas lights outside and the trees at my moms, brothers and boyfriends parents homes this year.

I usually go over to my in laws house for christmas every year. So I only have a small artificial tree up. We don't have alot of space for a big tree which is a bummer.

Just this small artificial one. We usually get a real one, but I'm not sure if we are this year since we're going away for Christmas.

We have a big artificial tree in the dining room that we put up a couple weeks ago! I love the twinkling lights and ornaments! My cat thinks its meant for scratching but otherwise she loves going beneath the tree! My boyfriend's brother gave him a little fake tree with Diamondback baseball designs on all the ornaments. Love it!!

Gotta have the trees when I can!
