« on: March 15, 2012, 02:21:03 PM »

12/04/12  Finally added the commission I did for a lovely member here, the pic is at the end of the thread.  :)

Hey hey  :)

Um, does anyone happen to have a picture of a de-flocked bangles at all? I have a commission I need to get started on and would like to see a clear piccie of her symbol without all the fluff!

Thanks in advance!!

EDIT - Actually - sorry!   Retract all that! I just thought of mylittlewiki and there's a perfect piccie there!! I love that site!

Feel free to post the piccie anyway though!! She's a gorgeous little pony (and mylittlewiki only showed a bum shot!!) It'd be lovely to see the gal in her entirety!!

I love Deflocked ponies!!! (I have no idea why Hasbro thought SS ponies were a good idea... >.<)

I'm working on a 2nd Ribbon... and a Northstar right now... and BOY is their flock glue being stubborn!

I've deflocked THREE Gustys so far... each one of them took no more than 2 hrs to deflock... These two... I've been at for DAYS now...

UGH... aggrivating...

Be sure to post when she's done!

I'm doing a Bangles deflock at the moment, and my lord. She's proving the most stubborn yet, I think. Maybe on a par with Twist.
Looking for: Alternate Birthflowers, Baity wingers, So softs - both minty and for deflocking - and DREAM BEAUTIES!

Oooh... I have to secretly (or I guess, not so secretly) concur that the so-softs looked better de-flocked! How funny that some are so much more difficult to do than others! Ladybrooklyn, I saw your de-flocked ribbon on your recent thread - gosh that pony is lovely - such vibrant colour. You and Pythia should definitely post your de-flocks! My project isn't a de-flock, but an illustration to do. I'd love to see your finished ponies though  :)

I will admit... that nice... MINT So Soft Ponies can be REALLY nice!

For instance... I had a REALLY nice Paradise not long ago... Where is her picture... AH! Here...

SHE was lovely! (sure would have helped if I had posted the pic... )

But... once they've been loved/played with/destroyed... they are just so NASTY!!! >.<

And so... They get deflocked!

Let's see... I'll have to take pics of Ribbon and Shady by themselves tomorrow... But here are my pics again. :)

Deflocked Gusty #1 (#2 was REALLY nasty... she ended up having a BAD case of Smooze... O.o still dealing with her. And #3 is in the process of whitening... she got Twinkle Eyes. :D )

Oh, deflocked ponies look so lovely... I'd try my hand at it, but, I'm rather scared of that Jasco stuff...

How does one go about deflocking a not so great looking so soft pony? I loooove the deflocks and NSS internationals! I currently have a SS Shady that could use a deflocking. If any of you guys have an answer let me know. My personal email is [email protected]. I also came across a pretty nasty looking Heartthrob at the thrift store yesterday but passed on her. If I knew how to deflock she would of definately been a good candidate and probably gorgeous underneath all the dirt and grime.

Thanks,
Katie

I just recently finished my deflock collection.  I never found oxyclean very helpful and wasn't able to find Jasco; so I just used a very hot water to get rid of most of the flocking and pure acetone and rubbing alcohol (for painted areas) for the glue residue.
