This thread has had me giggling so much that I had to pop in! I hope the new members are listening to everyone's advice (well maybe not everyone's....). Not only do you have to be a member here longer than a month, you need to have a high number of (productive) posts. You must also understand the forum, the members here, and how it all works. And even then it doesn't mean you get to be a mod. I know I applied a few years ago, and I didn't get it. I've been too chicken to apply again, lol! Slightly OT, but it is wonderful to see so many long time members posting together.

I also crochet.  The pattern looks very simple, and I have no doubt that you can do it! You are correct on your increases and decreases, and kaninchen described a simple decrease perfectly. If you want help with techniques, especially for left-handed crochet, check out Planet June. She has great guides and some free patterns to practice on! He is so cool! And terribly adorable. I didn't read through all the comments, so this may have been asked already, but how did you make the eyes look so smooth? They don't look like foam balls at all. I thought they were glass or plastic!

I'm pretty sure they already stated they want this to be an offline app. So I don't think you'll have any problems with your touch.
I think this app is a great idea. I've wanted to do something similar myself, but I don't have the knowledge yet to really implement it. I'm on an iPhone, btw. I look forward to trying this out once it's finished, and I think your ideas so far are awesome. A lot of the categories I probably won't use, but I know others will find them useful. Thank you for putting your effort into this - I know I'm not the only collector who has been dying for something like this for ages!
Also, can you release apps through Cydia without going through Apple? For those of us who jailbreak our phone... I know that would lower your market a bit, but if it's possible it might be a good way to get some feedback on a beta version. Just a thought.

Thanks you guys! I appreciate the stories and advice. Did any of you end up selling ponies you got in swaps? I don't want to offend anyone by doing that (although I know once it is mine I can do with it as I please). I think I'll start small, maybe a few G3s here and there, and work my way up from there. I do fear selling my G1s and harder-to-find G3s and then serching frantically for them again!
