Wait? They're replacing LIVS with unjointed dolls? Weak. DX
I realize there are some Liv fans here, and it's always disappointing when a line we love disappears. But Liv wasn't discontinued to make room for these; the line was doing poorly, and several of Spinmaster's lines were recently discontinued. If Liv hadn't turned into a shelf sitter, they probably would have kept both lines (MGA makes both Lalaloopsy, Bratzilla and Bratz, Mattel has Barbie, MH and Stardoll, Hasbro has both LPS and MLP).

I think they are super cute (Way cuter than any other toy-type dolls I've seen), but I probably won't get one unless they are very cheap; the limited pose-ability is just so disappointing.
And the one girl's outfit reminds me of G3 Minty so that's cool!Eeee, that's why it looked so familiar! :lovey:
They look pretty similar!! Also wow, and people knock Monster High for having unrealistic proportions...
With so many dolls looking like technicolor cartoons, I've never really understood the whole "UNREALISTIC BODY IMAGE!!1" about so many dolls. I mean, MLP look nothing like real horses.I think they're better when they're stylized, to be honest. They're more ~*~artistic~**~
OMG ZEBRA HAT!!!!

I actually don't like the World Trip set much at all. Dee is just flat to me, and I'm not digging Cyanne either.

Besides, what do they REALLY want? It's impossible to make a fashion doll with entirely accurate proportions, because they're too small. The clothing drapes wrong. Part of a fashion dolls skinniness is to prevent them from looking off when they're dressed. :p
http://www.flickr.com/photos/venivididolli/7342638938/in/photostreamI hope she's feeling rested enough to play dress up soon! VVD has so many different kinds of dolls, hopefully she'll be able to find a few things they can swap back and forth with. Maybe even some line we're not even expecting.

Is it bad that when I first saw that doll I immediatly planned on buying it simply to steal the clothes and make a custom Minty doll? x)And the one girl's outfit reminds me of G3 Minty so that's cool!Eeee, that's why it looked so familiar! :lovey:
I also wonder if there would be a way to make these dolls more articulated? They are super adorable but the lack of articulation would annoy me to death :P There are certinatly some nice outfits though :)
Why does this person have these dolls already???
I NEED THEM!!!
When are they coming out? LOL
CANDY CANDY CANDY! <3
i was never a fan of Liv dolls....but im probably the only one who thinks they look a bit like a drag-queen :lookround:
i am excited about this set -- and if they fit MH okay, they should fit Dals...at least some of the bits or outfits :D
I personally think the reason Livs didn't do well had more to do with that they were kind of "ordinary" if you know what I mean. That's why the Moxie Teenz also didn't do well since they were rather "ordinary" too. The Monster High dolls, even if you take away the monster references, are still colorful fantasy dolls. If you notice the other companies have taken notice and are trying things that are more out there. La Dee Da, Cutie Pops, Bratzillaz, and Novi Starz are all very imaginative and I can see them doing better than Livs or Moxie Teenz or even the regular Bratz. "Ordinary" is just not in anymore.
They kind of look like the Yummi land dolls sold a while back by MGA - those little dolls that were inside little bottles. Kinda have a similar look to them.

I agree. I collect Yummi Land dolls and they DEFINITELY remind me of them

They totally reminded me of them too! I used to have Katie Cottoncandy, if I remember correctly. She was from the uhh.. let me try to remember.. Candy pop girls? I always wanted the one that smelled like bananas. They're just so cute~
Do they still sell these?

Yummi land dolls stopped being made in like 2009-10 or so. I believe. I have about 7 of them clothed and 2-3 nude.
(i have been trying to sell the nude girls for quite some time)
You wouldn't happen to have a Dal to help me confirm my suspicions would you?

No, unfortunately. I've never been able to justify spending that kind of money on dolls that seem to have so many problems out of box. I've been tempted, because they're so pretty, but never gave in.
Oh congrats Crimsondeity! Can't wait for the pics either!I work at the TRU in Oregon and i haven't seen them yet. but that doesn't necessarily mean they aren't at others... Oregon get's there toys late usually...
Has anyone come across them in TRU yet?

The website has gone live! www.ladeeda.com. I'm liking the pictures of the fashion packs. I just hope these come to the UK.
i was looking at the site and realized that Dee (the candy one) is different in the original post than the one on the site -- which makes me sad, cause i like the original dress better >_<

I like the orignal DOLL better...but I'll probably get her anyway.
If anyone is interested in either Cyanne as peppermintPose or Tylie as Coyton Candy Crush, I have them for sale!
Ohh, good to know; I'll be going there tomorrow. Thanks, coin! :P
They do, apparently!Ohh, good to know; I'll be going there tomorrow. Thanks, coin! :P
They were on a big endcap between the doll aisles and the Lego. They were bigger than I thought they'd be, but I'm curious about whether the clothes will fit my MH dolls, because their clothes are adorable, and my Frankie needs something to wear other than jammies, and Ghoulia needs something more than just a bathing suit.
I should probably just stick to collecting ponies; between my ponies and Ed's Lego, these toy collections are getting too expensive.
I like the original doll way better, but the new DRESS looks great. I love that fitted skirt and the colours seem overall brighter.i was looking at the site and realized that Dee (the candy one) is different in the original post than the one on the site -- which makes me sad, cause i like the original dress better >_<

Oh wow what a difference, I totally agree with you Dibbles, the original doll looks cuter to me too!
I totally agree! Is it just me or does her new bag look white with dots instead of being translucent?I like the original doll way better, but the new DRESS looks great. But the dolls are too expensive for me to be willing to buy one for only the outfit. :(
Wow, lucky!! After seeing the comparison pictures and how they don't have much articulation or come with many (if any at all) accessories, I think they'd be best within the $10-$15 price range.
Ho-ly Crap!! These actually look cute!! As sad as it is to see Liv go, I was hoping my collecting wouldn't branch out into other lines but omg these are so tempting!!!The third one... MINTY!?
I really like the Signature/City Girl Dee!!

I also like the first girl! The brown skinned, red haired one.
I hope the prices aren't as scary as MH. Hopefully they'll be within the $10-$15. If they are, I can probably drop Moxie Girlz and have Ladeedas replace them! XP
ETA: OMG That does it!! As soon as they're released, I'm going to get me that Signature Dee!! She's so CUTE!!!
I want Sweet Party Tylie so bad. I loved her since I first saw pictures of these dolls and she's the sweetest one ever. I love her soft, cotton candy colors and make up. Sadly, I haven't seen them at the TRU I went to. u_u I'll keep trying, though, even though I really shouldn't start collecting a new doll line...I go to my local TRU pretty much weekly, want me to keep an eye open for her?

Gosh darnit, I couldn't help myself today! I saw them at TRU during a trip with the gf, and I nearly died from cute overload! I ended up getting Cyanne as Peppermint Pose from the Sweet Party collection. I mean...she's MINTY! I have to say, this doll line is going to be more addicting to me than Monster High....they might even top MLP. Unfortunately, I have to wait til next week to get Tylie from the Runway Vacay collection, but I will get my hands on her if it's the last thing I ever do!Cyanne as peppermint pose is my favourite as well :D
Phew! After checking out the Flickr stream, I thiiink I can go on without one. They're super cute though - French Cyanne (?) and Cotton Candy Tylie are especially tempting! The former looks a bit Moulin Rouge, and I can't get over how silly/adorable the latter looks with that entire cone of cotton candy stuck to the side of her head. XD They also dooo look an awful lot like Yummi Land dolls, at least to me, but with perhaps better/more elaborate styling.
What I'm totally NOT going to be able to resist, though, is those Cutie Pops! Lolitas with big pig tails and dessert-based decoration everywhere!! Just having trouble deciding which one I'd want, as all three bases have such natural hair colors, and I know I'm going to change their tails to something wild. Hopefully seeing them in person will help. :3
See, I personally don't like the eyelashes on the Cutie Pops, and I like the candy-colored hair on the La Dee Das better...but to each their own.

Aaaa! Why did you have to mention those.. ;_;
I didn't know of their existence, but I need them now, wearing lolita (a lot less, lately) myself! They are absolutely adorable.

Aww, ahaha, I felt the same way when someone mentioned them in another thread. But they're so cuuute! And I agree. My all skirt and dress-based wardrobe needs MOAR CUPCAKES itself!
I read that you can change their eyes, like the "pops" decorations on their dresses! :O That may not help your eyelash problem, but still. I saw some closed eyes that were rainbow-shaded, as well as some purple and rainbow pig-tails. But yeah, the base head hair colors could be better.
Well, I finally got to see the La Dee Dahs in person today; they had a bunch of them at Wal-mart, including the one I REALLY wanted, the Minty one ... but the big heads really turned me off! :(
I think I will get that Minty girl in the fall, when I have the extra cash to spend; maybe she'll grow on me.
Thanks to Pullips, I'm used to big-headed dolls. What bothers me is that someone said a lot of their head ornaments are stitched on??? Not cool for redressing purposes or if they come sewn on crooked. x_XI only have one La Dee Da at this time, Cyanne peppermint pose, and I had to cut a lot of things off just to redress her. It took forever, and there's a ton of broken hairs now, but she looks so much better (:
so excited! i just got Safari Sloan ^_^ LOVE! her whole outfit is awesome. they are bigger than I thought they would be....i wonder how well they would go on the smaller obitsu body (like a dal size)
I CAVED.
These two I think stuck out the most for me, but I want them all. I think I have a collection for when MH frustrates me. These girls just grew so much on me.
OMG, looking at the Diaries, I noticed there's artwork for Signature versions of the other girls? I can't wait to see if they really do that.I KNOW! I would LOVE a signature Tylie -- in that purple and green skeleton top! SOOOOO CUTE!
I just saw these for the first time on TRU website while looking for ponies. I'm not a fan of dolls with huge heads and little bodies, but I so HAVE to get that peppermint one!! *flails*
So I went to TRU and got Tylie as Cotton Candy Crush. I was tempted to get Cyanne from that set too but my mom pressured me into only getting one because I spent a bunch of money on shoes earlier. I got out of there with a set of South Park figurines though, so I dunno. She said I needed those. I guess we'll see how I like Tylie, and then I can go back and get more.
I got Tylie in her slumber party/sweet party outfit and she is just cute as a button! Hopefully once I pull her out of the package she doesn't disappoint me. But omg her body looks so... so delicate.
EDIT: So I finally freed Tylie from her plastic prison today (while hurting myself in the process trying to pry all the plastic tabs off the back... wth Spin Master?) and found a most peculiar factory error: My girl has two left upper thighs! Yes, both of her thighs use the mold for the left leg so it looks a little funny under her skirt and the "right" leg loses posability, since it can't properly turn inward. It isn't quite so noticeable with her clothing on but really... took the wind out of my sails there.
Poor Tylie! Hopefully you can exchange her in store?
I've seen a lot of the fashion packs around and they are really cute...I wanted them for my MH dolls, but really don't want to pay $10 for them when I can't use the shoes >_<
