What ponies do you collect?

Is it any generation or one only?  Plastic or plush?

I'm collecting G1 plastic ponies and G4 plushies.  I have the keyring version of the mane 6, Applejack, Fluttershy, Rainbow Dash, Twilight Sparkle and Pinkie Pie.  I have the next size up of these 6 too plus a slightly different version of Twilight Sparkle.

I have 4 large plushies, AppleJack, Fluttershy, Princess Celestia and Twilight Sparkle

I also have a G1 Lullaby Nursery and a G1 mug (I don't use it though, it's in the cabinet with my ponies!)

I also have a G1 book that I found in a charity shop

G4 everything, pretty much- ponies, cards, dog tags, Funko figures, plushies, comics, etc. alongside the regular ponies. Most of my pony room is dedicated to G4, I have four shelves dedicated to G1, and my G3 collection is brand new (one pony so far with about 6 on the way this week) so we'll see how many shelves those end up using.

I collect anything that catches my eye really. Only things I do not collect are those ball-headed 3.5's, and I haven't found ponyville ponies attractive yet either.

G1 -all ponies, really, although I have a lot of plushes from carbooting days that I'm not sure I really want to keep. My sister wants to keep them, though, so they've stayed, as we can't remember who owns who for most of them! The only plushies I am bothered about keeping are the babies and Honeycomb. I'm also obsessive about G1 packaging and backcards, especially UK ones and European ones. I have well over 200 different packages, some as MIP ponies and some loose from the ponies. I have actually spent more on rare backcards than on rare ponies. Go figure. It's the historian in me.

G2 - I don't collect these but I still have a boxload of them, loose and keep turning MIB ones up in French packages from a Paris holiday in the late 1990s. I'm not planning on parting with them, but I don't totally know who I have.

G3 - I downsized these. I have maybe 50 or so left. I don't collect them but these ones I'm keeping. The rest I rehomed.

G4 - I pick them up as souvenirs from holidays or if I believe them cute. I got Applejack, Rarity and Lily Blossom in Porvoo, Finland. Cadence with the fancy wings/patterns in Prague, Twilight Glimmer with the headband in Vienna. Honeybuzz and Feathermay came from Harrods the autumn I moved into London to do my MA four years ago; never seen them in any other store here. Starswirl, Pinkie Pie and Dewdrop Dazzle came from Lille, France. I had Rainbow Dash for my MA graduation, because I graduated my undergrad degree with G3 Rainbow Dash xD.

I don't really collect G4 though. I think some of them are cute but I don't like the show, and I don't like some of the fandom/fad element/memes.

I have some Equestria Dolls too. I don't like Mane 6 dolls, generally...I have a Rarity and a Dash from second hand but all my others are fringe characters who look pretty to my mind. I like the EQD movies I've seen better than FIM.

I really only collect G1. The others are just there or for fun. I only pick up other gen ponies from second hand sales if they are cheap.

G1, any that really stand out to me; at the moment it's night-time themed ponies (blame Moondancer! She's too pretty!) I'd also like to get some more of the Wingers because I've got 3 of them so far and they're one of my favourite sets; I'm not fussed about having the whole bunch but I'm keeping an eye out for Buzzer, Moon Jumper, Starry Wings and Cool Breeze.
Oh, and the Sunshine Ponies too! They are right up my alley but I've only got Main Sail so far (she's my favourite of the set but they're all fabulous in their own way!)
