All generations priority g1. Ss, boys, nirvanas, sparkle, and I only need mimic to complete my te. Babies of all generations. Bbe are a little creepy so just for my daughter. E.g. we have most all g4 up to this year. G3 slh and gems. I have a dream of the taf babies someday. Maybe even commission some to match my favorite tafs like yum yum, night glider, munchy, and Bonnie bonnets.

I mainly collect (even if I admit I got some G3 and G2 i find really cute  )

G1 : French and Greek ponies mostly, mostly MOCs or MIB if I find then 

G4 : all the ones I can find here in France

G1: whatever loose pony I like, plus accessories. All my childhood ponies MIB/ MOC, German comics, other merchandise that catches my eye. No specific goal there.
G2: so far only two babies, but they are growing on me and I wouldn't mind having more.
G3: any pony that pleases my eye, some sets must be MIB/ MOC. Focus on Comic Con, Fair exclusives.
G4: anything that can be brushed. Must have all Fashion Styles. Huge fan of prototypes. Any merch I can get my hands on.

My latest count says 684 in total.

G1- plastic ponies, some flocked, some Lil' Litters bunnies, a couple of playsets, some MIB/MOC, a couple books and puzzles, and of course one of Ponyqueen's Blueberry Baskets

G2- pretty plastic princesses and royal baby twins

G3- plastic ponies, a few MIB

G4- this is the most diverse part of my collection, a few plush, lots of molded figures as well as brushables in every size, puzzles, games, books, some comics, etc.

My goal isn't for the display to be encyclopedic; I choose the prettiest things that bring me the most joy instead. I want it to feel like equal parts collection display, toy store, and library for visitors, so I love having a range of objects and merchandise to play and interact with. To me, this varied approach makes my poniverse feel complete. <3

G1 ponies - I don't have a huge collection and plan (heh!) to keep in that way. It's somewhat equal parts childhood and "new to me" in my herd. I'd like to complete my TE and TAF sets, upgrade a few classics and get the last childhood replacement pony, winger High Flyer! 
I also recently bought the four mummy charms I had as a kid. I used to own a bunch of the G1 plush ponies too...I got Bowtie in a lot while swap shopping and now the plushies are calling me!

G2: Everything! Although I'm selling my mocs due to lack of space

G3: Some. I'm not looking to get any more.

G4: Brushables of new characters and sometimes a Fashion Sized pony

I have G1, G3, and G4s in my collection, but I only get older gen stuff from swaps,meets, etc., and don't really actively seek them out.  Mostly it's new G4 stuff.  I collect a little of everything- brushables, blind bags, fashion styles, plushes, EqG, EqG minis, the occasional Funko, and I've started to like the Funko minis.

I will also buy practically anything with Pinkie Pie, Celestia, or Cadance.
