Maybe the pink is just a stain from something else and not the original dye? So the whole thing faded/got bleached, but it also picked up a stain?
Ah-ha another one has finally shown up! I also own a white pony royal cape which is PURE white, no patches on it. The threads however are still pink - we did have a thread about it when I first got it about 10/11 years ago and I seem to recall the consenus was that it may have been a factory error/prototype. The fabric is still soft and shiny, it doesn't honestly feel like it's been bleached or washed and the silver trim is still in good nick. I'd get pics but my ponies are all boxed up Carrie
It is gorgeous nevertheless - I love your photo QueenGusty!
