Ask a pony question...get a pony answer [Game]

We have played this before but its always fun to learn a little more about one another and our ponies. The game is simple...you ask a question of the next poster; the next poster answers and asks their own question. Questions can be anything as long as they are pony related of course.

So I shall start...

Do you prefer Princess Ponies or Big Brothers?

Lately I'd say Big Brothers - probably mainly since until this past August I didn't have any boys (aside from a baby brother) in my collection and I wanted one. Just got my second a couple weeks ago.


Do you prefer to display your ponies facing straight on (more per shelf) or facing sideways to see symbols (less on shelf)?

If I had a shelf I'd prefer to display them sideways. I don't like them to look crowded. As it is, I have display . . . baskets . . . hard to explain . . . and then some special ponies displayed, sideways, of course, on my bookshelves. When I get more room, I'll probably display only parts of my collection at a time so I can put them sideways.

Next question:

Do you like unicorns, pegasi, or earth ponies best? (or flutters, or windy wings . . . or sea ponies . . . hmm, think that covers it)

It depends on the colors, but I do find myself leaning toward Pegasi.

What artwork style do you prefer to see ponies drawn in?

I love personal styles but also Hasbro styles. I'm not that picky. 

How long have you been collecting ponies?

Started to be interested sometime between Christmas and January. I didn't get any ponies til February, though. Jay sent me two Styling Strands (Fluttershy and Rarity) and I got a bunch of G4s when I went birthday shopping. I've come to really like all of the gens after doing some research, though. Makes it tough to know what I want to get next.

Love em!  I had Seawinkle as a kid and had hours of fun with her in the tub (which is why they're so hard to find in good condition now, too much tub fun!).  The suction-cup shell was a great idea and the overall design is just super cute.

Question:  What style of symbol do you prefer: simple or twice as fancy?

I love TAF symbols!  When the G4 ponies did that with their Rainbow Power and Cutie Mark Magic lines, I may have gotten a bit excited. 

Do you have pony "spa" days to wash and style their manes/tails, or do you just leave them as-is out of their boxes/off their cards?

I only wash my ponies if they come out of a thrift store but! I've considered giving my G4s
spa days too, only the ones with really wild hair though.


I do remember a G4 book that had sea ponies in it, but would you like to see
more of the G1 pony "half-breeds" like flutters or wingers make a comeback in G4?

It would be nice to see more variety in new ponies, either bringing back older ideas or coming up with some new ones.

Question: Do you prefer ponies with or without accessories?

I like accesories as long as they aren't too over-the-top

If you could create a new pony breed for the G4 line, what would it look like?

I actually would like to include other hooved creatures that have the same
sentience that ponies do, like moose or deer!

(I did make up a concept where Twilight is sent to a forest somewhere far from Ponyville,
where a community of deer live ruled by a king and queen.)


Do you miss the tail ribbons that G1 had, or are you glad they're gone?

I was probably 4 or 5 when I got my first G1's, but it was Princess Royal Blue and teeny tiny baby Little Whiskers.  I don't remember if Royal Blue came with a ribbon or not.  But, I feel like the time for ribbons has come and gone.  It should stay with the G1's.

If you had a cutie mark what would it be, or what would your special talent be?

That's a question I've been pondering for a long time! I mean, it isn't something that keeps me awake at night, but it does make designing a persona difficult. I'm also a 'jack of all trades, master of none' in real life, so my talents are all over the place.

But, if I had to choose, the symbol would be a Celtic bird, and my talent would be dancing.

Do you prefer sculpted hair or real hair?

Would you like Hasbro to make buildings and/or play sets that are in scale with the G4 blind bag ponies? Why or why not?
