I love everyone's custom icons. Before this thread I had no idea you could do that. Now I want some. :P

This is my desktop. I cleaned it up a bit by deleting a few icons I didn't need. I took a piece of artwork by one of my favorite artists, Imai Kira and threw it on a solid background.

Its pretty clean, except for the basic folders, the one for my TESOL class, the weather/time thing and the little monitor thingy on the bottom left.

Mine's pretty clean as well.  If I'm currently working on something in photoshop or illustrator I'll have that on my desktop for easy access, but once I'm finished it goes into a folder.

A place for everything and everything in its place :P My compulsive personality means everything has to have a system. No matter the computer my recycling bin, short cuts to key programs, hot linked files, internet/communication links - always have to go in the same place. My current desk top at work does not allow you to move anything, it actually hurts me to look at it sometimes :P

I love a tidy desktop, I have one column of about six icons, that way I can see my beautiful children which is what I have as a background pic :-)

Mine is a relatively plain background with two rows of icons along the left. I keep it clean most of the time but a few stray files sit around if I'm currently working on a project or something :)
