What are you going to do when you have ALL the ponies?

Once I get all the ones off my want list, I'll work on finding just the right little accessories for them. Not necessarily official accessories, but things like special beads or charms they can wear. It can be hard to find the exact perfect thing for each of my ponies, so that hobby will last for ages!

I'm not exactly sure what i'll do, as I'm collecting G4 and it's ongoing right now. I have only 10 more to get (including what has yet to be released)

Because my obsession is with one of the Mane 6 ponies (Fluttershy to be precise, I have an army of her) I don't think i'll ever have a finished collection of her with ponies, merch, and plushies of just her.

If I'm ever able to complete my wantlist and be done with collecting, I'll probably go crazy and start another collection.

Like others have said I would still be collecting G4`s as they come out.
I`d also wait for OOAKs, and  prototypes that are in peoples collections to come up for sale.
And then there are customs. You can never collect All the customs out there.
And re-hairs, there are soo many re-hairs.
And G1-G4, G1-G3, G4-G3, G4-G1 customs.

I only collect G4 now and plan to collect ponies only until G4 is done. I doubt it will last forever and as it is I'm becoming more and more picky on what FiM items I buy. I'm not exactly sure what I'll do when it ends. Probably take a good hard look at my collection and decide what I love the most and want to keep permanently, sell off some stuff (I'm kind of a fickle toy collector when it comes down to it), build some crazy awesome display, think of interesting pictures to take or make scenes to set up for pony photos, ?.
I collected BJD and Re-Ment before ponies and have picked up EaH and Zelfs since. I'll keep busy in other hobbies even if my pony collecting ends. I don't think I'll ever completely leave the Arena or anything though and there will probably be some impossible-to-get pony or two that I'll become fixated on searching for *cough* *Sweetie Blue*  that will keep me from ending the pony hunt absolutely completely.

If I ever had all the ponies I would concentrate on finding variants and also I would keep on collecting accessories forever.

It's sort of my problem now. I've pretty much got all the ponies I want, bar the few really expensive and htf ones, so I've casually moved into upgrading my collection, and sometimes I get too attached to an extra and end up forming an army.

Once my G1 collection is complete (or 95%), I will focus my attention on upgrades, accessories, and displayable merch. Also may casually begin collecting UK ponies.

I have in mind a bigger pony room for my collection
I'm never going to have all the ponies, only the ones i like
or cheap ones that I can rescue
so many need upgrades though

I'm pretty new to collecting, at the moment I'm sticking to G1s, and only the ponies themselves.

Next:

G1 accessories
G1 ephemera
G1 MIB/MIP

I think I could probably collect G1s forever, I quite like that they're not all perfect because of their age - so I would probably carry on collecting 'better' versions of the ponies I already had. I don't think I would ever finish collecting G1s.

I did collect the G4s for a while but almost every lunch hour I was spending money on ponies from supermarkets/toy shops etc (I have very little self control when it comes to spending, especially on ponies it seems!)...so I decided to set myself a rule and only buy G1s.

If someone offered me all of the G1 ponies I would be tempted but probably say no, because for me the fun's in the process of collecting.

But still... what if you have gazzilion dollars and you can just buy anything you want in 1 year... the most mintest pony's with allof their accesories, you scrooge McDuck around for a few days, you can hire people to run a museum, etc.
