How many episodes were made during the original run? I counted the episodes and I could swear there's a BUNCH missing...?

There were 28 stories in all.  And they're all there.  You have to remember many were multipart.

I'm happy to be the go between for those who just have to have it. I'm willing to do this at cost, so what ever the DVDs cost plus postage. Where did you find it Loa?

I have the entire series from an old release that came in seperate cases and some of the Tale episodes. I'll go for a hunt this weekend and see what I can find and how much everything is and report back.

They look like the full version of the new G1 episode dvd's we've been seeing for a while now, I hope they release all of them singly, too, that artwork is beautiful. Those discs have the tales music as well, so I'd say it's the same series. Who's the set by?

I don't own any of the single disc DVDs but I've seen Ghosts of PE and Flutter Valley in supermarkets and they seem to have the same artwork. The tin is distributed by Beyond Home Entertainment.

It's region 4 (PAL), so you would need a multiregion player to view it.

It's not mulit-region but if you have a newish dvd player (last 7 years or so) then it should be region free. As Far as I know all DVD players sold now days are region free. Other wise as Hathorcat said you can hack it easily.

Still cheaper than what some people are asking for the older seasons package.

Soo wait these should play on newer DVD players in the U.S.? My player is only two years old and would gladly try to hunt one down if it would work for me.

Sounds pretty reasonable for tracked shipping. Pack & Track International is roughly $35 for any parcel under 2kg to the US.
