I managed to get around to watching the episodes last night, they are the edited for TV versions. Little Piece of Rainbow and The Good Old Days songs are both absent.

Umm, if I remember correctly, it displayed the "to be continued" screen and then immediately cut to the opening credits of the next part. The opening features the ponies, the Moochik, the Bushwoolies and Megan (I believe riding Magic Star with Ribbon bringing up the rear?).

They are zone 4, so unless you have a multizoned player then no.

If they have the two be continued at the end, then they're the version from the original run and not the Disney run which cut the very end of each cliffhanger to remove the To be continued text.

As Loa says wrong region...however you can hack any DVD player on the market to be multi region its pretty easy to do. A lot of stores now carry uncoded DVD players [sometimes they are more expensive than Region 2 DVD players though]. In our house all of our DVD players were purchased Region 2 but changed to Region 0 within a minute each. Its super easy and nothing wrong in doing it

Answer 1.  The people who invented DVD's decided to be jerks and make different codes for different parts of the world.

Answer 2.  The versions on disc are from the series, they're cut for syndication.

Ooooh, I may have to look into getting this... it's super cute and has the one episode I'm missing from my cartoon collection! Plus, we only ever buy multiregion dvd players, so I should be able to play it
