I don't think I eat much that's too strange.  I do like a lot of things that are typically Asian foods, though. 

My friends think it's weird when I eat dried salted/seasoned seaweed (so yummy and salty) especially because I don't care for normal seaweed paper.  It kinda melts on your tongue when you eat it.

I love, LOVE sweet red bean (adzuki)!  I found whole sweet red beans in syrup once and would put them on plain Greek yogurt!  So good!  Also, when I get red bean paste in the can, to make snacks, I have a habit of eating a few plain spoonfuls....

I have also weirded out a few people with my chicken nugget/chicken tender sauce.  It's just Miracle Whip with a squirt of ketchup in it.  My mom made it for my siblings and me when we were kids, and I cannot eat chicken nuggets without it.  My ex-husband thought it was the grossest thing ever...  :lol:

I like lemoncurd and cheese on my toasts.
I put caviar and cheese with some spices on untoasted toast and warm them in the microwave until the cheese has melted.

I like potatoechips with vanilla icecream and chocolate sause. I also like potatoechips, popcorn and cheesedoodles with chocolate. I like chocolate with french fries as well. :)

It's probably what I don't eat that would earn me :blink: looks.

I won't eat grains EVER again. Wheat, corn, rice, oats; none. Inflammation City - population: me.

I'm also currently on a very restricted (and hopefully temporary) diet to help heal my intestinal permeability and chronic inflammation. So I also don't eat seeds, nuts, nightshades, dairy, seed-based or nightshade-based spices, eggs, or seed-based oils. Don't eat conventionally grown beef, either. They eat a lot of grains, which give them inflammation and the meat is high in omega-6, hormones, and antibiotics. Conventionally-grown poultry produces a reaction in me as well, so perhaps I will have to try organic chicken.

I found out I can tolerate chocolate, so I hope to be able to reintroduce some other foods someday.

I don't eat anything particularly weird, but I eat extremely spicy foods. I put rooster sauce on everything, especially pizza, and I put tons of wasabi on sushi.

Oh, I do all this too. :) Except I've never tried rooster sauce on pizza - yet!

I use Horseradish like other people use Mayo.

Sometimes I enjoy kimchi, it's hard to find good kimchi in Southern Colorado, though. Shipping jars of kimchi to our high altitude has strange effects, and I'm not not extremely careful. I end up wearing more of it than I eat.

Kimchi is pretty easy to make! A bit time consuming, but you can make it it in large batches P:


I eat che ba mau-- It's like a bean dessert soup/drink (mung bean, red bean, jelly things). But really, I like che-anything. It's not weird to me, but it could be weird for the typical american.

Hathorcat, I think although it's unhealthy, just about everything tastes better deep fried ^.^

Take the object closest to you, deep fry it, and most will agree it's yummy. This is pretty much how mankind works.

What she said.  I cant have 95% of anything out there, though ill break in, have something then pay for it within 30 minutes.

They still don't know whats wrong with me but its gotton to the point where a few things I can have 'only' upset my stomach for a bit so I guess it isn't that bad.


That said I guess the most weird thing I can think of that would give looks is hummus, made from tofu instead of garbonzo beans, minus most of the spices and acid.  it was obviously missing some flavor but wasn't that bad!

What is vegemite... It's a sandwich spread, like tar in colour and consistency, and is a yeast extract. Totally yummy on sandwiches and hot buttered toast!!

Well, I am learning to cook different things. I'll have to look for a recipe, thanks for the idea!  :)
