Nicole Oliver came to our local brony meet today!

I mentioned a while back that I might be having dinner with Nicole Oliver. Well, dinner instead turned into a potluck meet at a local curiosity shop called Plan B and it was AWESOME! She did a Q&A (and she's extremely funny), photos with everyone who wanted them, signatures, and was taking the time to have a chat with everyone. She was making Tweets during the meet, too (one was a photo of she and I after I gave her a pair of earrings!). I am so glad my best friend is so awesome that Nicole accepted her invitation to hang with us I feel so lucky to have gotten that chance!! Here's my poster:

She is truly is a sweet woman. She was kind of excited when somebody knew that she voiced Queen Emeraldas back in the day ^_^ (Whereas I was reading her IMDB page and was all "She was the host from CRASH TEST MOMMY? Whoa!")

She even signed a copy of the above poster to be auctioned off for the local children's hospital!

you're spot-on, Lon, she's an amazing lady I'm so glad we all got a chance to meet her. Nicole actually discovered the Celestia posters for sale in the store right after I did (I'm SO glad I got mine! >.>; I had nothing else to be signed because I originally wasn't going to get an autograph). She took the last 3 that remained- one for plan B, one for the bronies and one for the Children's hospital. I thought that was SO amazingly sweet of her <3

Thanks for the props everyone, we are a lucky bunch to have her grace us with her presence at a meet-up it was unforgettable!

Oh, I gave her a pair of earrings actually. She put them on and made a Tweet about them the moment I gave them to her! They were crafted by a local artist from real orchid petals. The artist uses a process where they freeze dry and preserve the petals and then give them several coats of resin. you'd never know they were preserved, they look like fresh flower petals! I'm glad I picked purple, because she apparently loves purple I had a feeling they'd look best against her dark brown hair <3

Also, we have local brony meets here every month actually, I don't always attend. They're held at an amazing little oddities/curiosity shop, though! You can find everything from fursuits and old video games, systems of any imaginable type to preserved specimens, real human skulls, re-articulated skeletons of different animals, taxidermy and old medical equipment... you never know what you'll see in there. It's a great and super crazy store They have some jewellery made from bones that I have my eye on. lots of amazing art from local artists for sale there, too. Nicole loved the place! Her son and his friend really loved the couch with the old gaming systems set up in front of it they were playing the whole meet
