I actually feel kind of bad for the person/people involved in the design process.  I just keep thinking though, surely with 3D scanning/printing technology that something more accurate (even in a small size) could have been done.
I don't even think they do 3d printing for even designing 100%... more like rapid prototyping which involves other materials like wax or clay...

lots of people over on FB are throwing a fit, what do they expect xD I plan on customizing at least 2 of the 3 unless my friend wants one of them

Not an official licensed product using a fake mold?

Have we gotten so accepting of hasbro licensing and releasing junk that we're okay with junk?

She needs to take a trip back to the amazon and get that head shrunk a little more ;p
you mean a trip to Hasbro :P

you know... I wonder if it is possible to shrink the head XD

Actually the Jivaroan tribes were the people who made real life shrunken heads and they lived in the 'amazon' rain forest. Which is where I'm getting the shrunken head reference from.

If you have an extra in the end, could I buy one off you? ^.^ I don't need the booklet, so buying the whole thing would be a waste for me.

Meh, she looks about the way I was expecting.  I'm not fond of the rooted tail but for $10, I wasn't expecting much.

She's sort of endearing in an odd way.  :)

It came today... Months of buildup over nothing...

Although I like the minibook, I made the purchase for "repro" Firefly.  As expected,  the figure misses the mark.  I had truly hoped Hasbro/Running Press would prove me wrong.

Same here. The regular toyline has wonky quality so i'm not sure why people thought a cheap toy/book set would have great quality...
I give them points for trying and just feel kinda happy G1 is getting a bit of love.

Thank you everyone for posting pictures!!!

Maybe she does look like fakie but I don't mind. I didn't expect much for less then $7. I'm just happy that they made something G1 again.

Book is awesome and adorable and so nostalgic.

The figure ... I'm not sure what's so terrible about a rooted tail, but ugh, the messed-up proportions definitely are disappointing. I don't think I'll be ordering this. I've got a perfectly-proportioned Firefly here at home. ;)
