How often do you add to your pony collection?

It really fluctuates a lot, depending on what's available at the time it can be anything from several times a week to once a month or less.

Some times i buy several things a month, other times i can go for a month or more without buying anything. It mostly depends on what the stores got in stock. I don't enjoy buying online that much (shipping costs and other fees makes it rather expensive for me atm) so i try to keep that to a minimum. When the stores don't have anything in stock i tend to not buy a whole lot. Especially now that i have quit hunting down blindbags. However, as soon as there is new stuff i tend to buy it all at once.

In my case, it all depends on three things: availability (meaning if there are any G1 ponies on the horizon at the moment), the amount of cash I have at my disposal and my current financial priorities. Just like with some of the posters here, I cannot exactly pinpoint a specific time period. Sometimes I'd happen that I'd buy myself a pony every month, sometimes I won't be getting one in a span of three, four months.

Ok, I know I've already posted, but to make some of y'all feel better about being more obsessed than anyone else...

I know my answer was a reasonable 'twice a month' and that's normally pretty true... but I recently got a massive tax return. After paying a bucketload of bills, I bought 'some ponies'. In the last month or two, I've bought (and received in swaps/prizes) enough ponies to have one a day for at least a year! I've only bought a few lots... but one of those lots was about 300 strong! So if I disappear for a while, it's because I'm cleaning ponies... and cleaning, and cleaning... I'm only on here now because I ran out of room in the bathroom to put more ponies!

I buy when I see Ponies that I really like and I buy at toy shows, markets and online. At the moment, I buy a Pony or two, once a week on average, yet I might buy a number of them together and then none for a few weeks. It is nice to have Ponies in the mail, knowing they are on their way and when the toy fairs are coming up, I look forward to them to see what I can find.

Dude, don't feel bad. I add to my collection almost every day! I do consider myself an obsessive collector. I'm obsessive about other things, but this is one of the things I obsess over that brings me the most joy. Collecting also distracts me from my depression.

Honestly not just ponies but my toy collection I am adding to it almost every day that I can I am working deals with people on craigslist or waiting on something from ebay or I am at a thrift store flea market yardsale or you can find me in TRU target ect it never ever EVER STOPS!!!!!! and I love it  to be honest in the time I spent writing this message I could have missed a new toy on Craigslist PEACE OUT

It kind of varies.  Right now, I haven't bought any ponies since TFCon, but when you get 18 ponies at the Fair and another 3 at TFCon....my pony money is gone for a while.   On average, I'd say it levels out to about 2 or 3 ponies/month this year, but that's with 2/3 of them being bought in a one month period.

Last year, I think I only got 4 ponies all year.

It always varies, during the summer months when I can hunt at markets, I add some almost every week...well I buy almost every week even if its not exactly added to the grand collection. Winter months...hmm maybe two months in between or so, depends on there is anything new that interests me.

Usually one every two weeks or so but right now I am waiting until we can put up another shelf in my room before purchasing anything more, I am tired of having ponies all over my desk!

Pretty much this. It depends on what is in stores and what thrift stores/flea markets/toy shows have. I could buy several ponies a month or go a month or so without buying a pony. I prefer getting my pony in stores/flea markets/etc. It keeps me from spending too much.
