I don't use it much.  Every time I pop on I notice my husband is complaining about something I did, so I just avoid it now.  I rarely post pictures, am selective about my friends, and have my security settings as tight as I can possibly get them.

I'm on it, but don't post a lot. Not many of my friends/family respond to my posts. I think it's turned into a quote and picture with quote on it repost to like site...

I resisted Facebook for a long time, but eventually my boyfriend got me to sign up. He told me IMing on FB would be so much faster than texting, and he was right. But then we moved in together like a month or two after. >.<

I've thought about deleting my FB, but I really just can't. I don't have a phone so its the best and easiest way to keep in contact with most of my family. I live very far away from my family (they're all in California) so its not like I can drop by and say hello or something.

All I really post is photos of new dolls/ponies I get, but more recently I've started posting statuses, all about various toys. xD

i quit facebook along time ago, it was either after my first or second born after hearing horror stories too of inappropriate kids photos and personal photos being stolen. glad i did, i lost contact with most of my overseas friends and some out of town friends cos that the only way they wanted to keep in contact .....well stuff them, really, it hurt at first. also too i had long lost friends and friends or friends wanting to be friends then not making contact, it was like they were there just to spying, i use to have my kids photos up so my friends could see them growing.
i haven't missed it at all and call me old fashioned but i like emailing.
i now skyp my close friends and family too.

I'm probably going to stick with FB for awhile. I found support groups for other people suffering hypothyroidism, Hashimoto's disease and adrenal fatigue. I get information, support, and even just a chance to vent about the medical community brushing all those aforementioned problems aside and leaving me basically on my own.

Also, it has other communities that interest me, as well as staying connected with friends and family to some degree.

Alot of my "fishie" friends and "pony" friends are on there. and a few people I actually know in real life.
Plus I need to play my games

I also "met" some random people on there as well..that I never would have met if it werent for FB.
I do wonder about the friend requests I get from people in like..India and Africa.  I usually accept them request but I hav enever had an issue with any of them. Sometimes they will like a picture or a status or I will get a "how are you today" but that's about it. The only people I have ever deleted and blocked were people I know from RL - mostly my sister's Ex's and one of her friends.

If you not my friend, then you can't really see my info - except for my profile pic and a few albums - one of my dog, one of my fish and one of ponies.

I HATE cell phones so FB it is.

I have a facebook account but never use it.  Only signed up for one once I realized that I needed to have one as a way to talk to some people, but I use my cellphone, email, and Skype as a way to keep in contact with friends and family instead.

I went on a FB purge and dumped most of my contacts. I have like, maybe 5 friends now. I mostly go on FB to see Grumpy Cat and all the cute stuff George Takei posts :). Plus there are a couple of doll artists I follow. For my real family & friends I'd rather actually talk to them in person, or write a real letter or something.

Im on facebook, but I never post anything there. Im more of a stalker. :P Nah, I am there just so I can easily contact people and they can contact me.  I've never been too worried about privacy though. I'd say 99% of my friends are close real life friends/family and 3-4 members here from the arena. I also love that if people talk to me on FB, the message will pop up on my iphone and I can answer anywhere.

I joined back in the middle of 2009 - wow, that seems like forever ago... It was way cooler then. If I'm on the internet, I'll have Facebook open, as a general rule, but that's mostly because of my favourite game, Mousehunt! It's the only Facebook game- no, the only ~game~- to have continually held my interest for so long. Four years now, actually. It's good, because I can have Mousehunt open and IM people at the same time. I don't actually use the newsfeed very often at all, mostly because it's rubbish. I've created lists to keep track of my close friends, and I've got a ton of groups for various interests if I feel like socialising. My privacy settings are probably shameful!

I pretty much have no choice. FB is THE THING in Iceland and that is the only way of communication I have with a lot of groups I am in, including my Hockey team.

I'm not too bothered about security and such though, everything in Iceland is so transparent anyway that it would take, like, 5 minutes for a random somebody here to find out my date of birth, social security number, address, who I live with etc (I'm not even exaggerating).

What I'm concerned about is that I hate Facebook's policies and I try to limit my contribution to it, but sometimes I jsut fall into the deep pit of daily FB usage :P

I don't write too much on FB so I wouldn't really be sad if I got rid of mine. There's a lot of drama on it and 80% of what my friends/family posts is annoying :P The "if you don't share this you don't love Jesus!" things and all that  And the whining about relationships. Really, if he's THAT bad to you then break up with him. Ugh. And I do not need to know when you're eating, sleeping, going to the bathroom, or are bored :P

I had some issues with security and tried to warn my friends (I was litterally stalked, but by the grace of God I didn't attend an even I had RSVPed on Facebook...but the stalker approached one of my friends...it's a long story, but it's all good now).  Anyway, I had one friend in particular who refused to adjust her FB posting habits (i.e. taking photos of me and tagging them).

I deleted my profile and started a new one with a fake name.  The same friend decided that she didn't like that, so she kept tagging pictures of me with comments like "Oh, so-and-so is really SPIFFY!"  The woman is 35, I mean, come on!

So, yeah, I had to delete her as a friend AND block her.  She flipped out.  We don't talk anymore (because of that and some other things I couldn't put up with anymore).

THANKFULLY, I've had no issues with FB security since!  You can do a lot to protect yourself, but if you have one "friend" who enjoys sabotaging your efforts, it's moot!

And that's the reason I activate the option of 'approve' when tagged.  I just HATE to be tagged on FB ¬¬X

And I know 2 persons on particular that really LOVE to publicate everything about their lives, since what they are eating to dressing to the people they are with to everything!

I rarely post something personal there, but have to use it because that's the only way to communicate with some persons *sigh*

Better known as: I don't have a cell phone with whatsapp, and really cheap to get one.
