The quality of the ponies hair will go down considerably, nothing soft and shiny here just a mess of tangled neon colored cheaply made manes and tails like bad hair extensions.

Cutie Marks will be even less detailed a single colored shape with smears galore.

Ponies will have tiny bodies and faces and ears that resemble kitties.

If their is a G5 show then all the characters toy colours will be off, that white pony with a blue mane you love because she resembles majesty so much? Guess what, she's pastel blue with purple hair!

Any everyone is a princess.

I think that the main point of them will be to play on an app or website.  They'll basically all be blind bags, but the toy will have a code you plug in and that will be where you play with the pony.  Additionally, the app/ website will give you the opportunity to spend exorbitant amounts of real money on special accessories for the online pony.

I actually don't think that this is too far fetched.  Kids are getting smart phones and lap tops younger and younger.  Whenever I babysit,  most kids will ignore all their real toys and ask to see my iPhone, and proceed to get pouty  when they find out I only have a flip phone from 2008!

Hmm....judging how each generation ponies seem to decrease in size, I'd say they may be the size of blind bags or maybe Hasbro will completely do away with brushables all together and just make blind bags.  It wouldn't surprise me.  They'd call it My Little Pony In My Pocket and be all like "look you can put My Little Pony in your pocket, you can take pony wherever you go" and make these pint sized playsets.

  This thread!

I want to be optimistic for once, so here goes:

-Brianne Drouhard will develop the new show for TV (here are some ponies she drew in 2006!)
-The new show is a G1 reboot but also has characters of G2 and G3
-Spike is likeable again and doesn't have a crush on a pony
-Tirac
-Focus on friendship and adventure because little girls also want excitement
-No internet memes, no background pony that causes people to send death threats
-Male ponies are just as colorful as female ponies, they also have longer manes, gender dimorphism is minimal because all characters look diverse to begin with
-The ponies don't keep other animals as livestock, ponies from other lands are not cast as "non-whites"
-toys are a little bigger again, come as brushies, different poses
-playsets also contain the adventure elements and not just the slice of life stuff

Ahhh, perfect

You guys made me spit my drink out on my laptop.  :lmao:
(Can I just say I would buy Electrician pony and other boy ponies???)

I like the paper for the origami horse you fold yourself. And the 3 cheap crayons to color "accessories" with. The poop slogan was also awesome.

My 2 cents:
Along the lines of ponies getting smaller, they may be like shrinky-dinks where you buy them, cut them out and bake them until they are 1/4" tall. They will be made out of something that will later prove to cause an incurable sickness that brings about the zombie apocalypse.
Also, the new line will be based on a reality show of super-annoying housewives who cosplay the "ponies" 24/7.

I laughed out loud as well, ohhh golly

Oh man, I just found a super secret concept image for G5!  This is APPLE SPARKLE, and she is the friendliest pony in HAPPY PONY TOWNVILLELAND!  She likes to go on magical sparkly adventures with her friends, and they love to trade shoes!

(No, I'm not bored, why would you ask?  )
Oh my sweetness I actually find this adorable and funny. As a unique art style this is adorable, as a pony toy idea not so much! ha ha

In all honesty I wish they would go to a style like the first movie, it was so lovely, and amazing and would make super cute toys if they made them more stylized like the porcelains....

Yeah, imagine all those adorable porcelain ponies, now make them plastic with brushable hair.... *swoon* go ahead everyone say it with me, awwwwwwwwww

Eh, it's a fun thread, though a bit dated now that we know we have another five years of G4 coming. -_-

Great doodle you did there, though! ^^
