Whippy, on the yarn front, I dunno... I have had terrible luck finding good yarn to use... nothing as soft and fluffy looking as what MiRaja's looks like though!!

And thanks guys! I'd love to play a whole series of Peacock ponies, I felt so smart being able to figure out how many holes on each end of the pattern that she needed to be symmetrical, lol! :lol:

Loving those perfume puffs!  ^.^

I bought some yarn to have a go, but when I brushed it out the fibers were only long enough to rehair a baby pony. How do you make sure you've got a yarn that will have nice long fibers?   :huh:

Whippy, on the yarn front, I dunno... I have had terrible luck finding good yarn to use... nothing as soft and fluffy looking as what MiRaja's looks like though!!

And thanks guys! I'd love to play a whole series of Peacock ponies, I felt so smart being able to figure out how many holes on each end of the pattern that she needed to be symmetrical, lol! :lol:

On checking for yarn, you want to pull on the end of a piece and see how long the fibers are.  Fifi's yarn was really long and Fluff's was medium length, but that isn't the only trick on getting longer hair.  I've found that brushing it is the problem!  I do not brush mine at all, but then I do have to accept mine are not brushable.  They can still be handled, touched and pony-fondled and all that, just keep the brushes away from them.  The trick is to pull the yarn apart with your fingers and then sort of spin it back together to form little plumes and wefts.  That seems to be the biggest trick.  I actually got the longest length with Taffeta who was rehaired with Wal Mart Red Heart Super Saver which I have seen several people say specifically does not work.  And it doesn't, if it's pulled apart by a brush, but if you pull it apart with your fingers and rearrange the fibers and respin them, they actually hold together very nicely.

My next yarn to try is some Caron Simply Soft in Sea Foam.  I am saving that for Sugar Berry who is in my car dash at this very moment sun fading.  She was brown, but now she's off white.  So, soon!  But I might go through my sales box and see who has the worst hair and play chop chop. . .  << >> I'm terrible, unfortunately most of all my girls have really nice hair.  ;.;

Fifi's is also Red Heart, but it's another line of their's, that's like a tie-dyed yarn.  Moon Dust was done in a company I've forgotten the name of, but it's a two-ply uber fluffy and soft yarn, and it's made in Turkey.  Of the ones to work with, it was incredibly easy to pull apart and fluff out.  All came from Michael's.  I'm going to get the Turkish yarn in every color they have, I think, because I'm in love.

The yarn I use is Lion Brand... super chunky. I just can only find fall colors, except online. They have a nice selection, I just haven't really wanted to order like $30 worth of yarn yet, lol I'd rather have hair...

But on that note, I have three more yarn rehairs that I finished... I have to get photos soon. I was just, out of ideas, lol so I did yarn on them. Sometimes I love the yarn look, sometimes I don't. I think it depends on the pose and the pony. I'm learning which poses I don't like poof on and which ones I do (I love the Paradise pose and the CP pose with poof for sure, but am seeing so many new poses that look good with poof too!)

MiRaja - I love using the Caron So Soft, I've used that type of yarn for the PP rehairs I've done.  I've brushed the yarn out, and it didn't seem as puffy or long as some I've seen, but it's so touchably soft!

I have a Cupcake and a Princess Tiffany that have been sitting around for a couple weeks with only half a head of hair... One of these days. Heh.

But, here's Speedy! (She is looking for a home too, by the way.)

Here's my newest rehairs. My camera isn't so great, but the Valentine's twin as 2 different pink colors. I decided to go monochromatic with Blossom. Her hair has a nice highlight effect with different purples and white.
