Okay, so I've done three more rehairs!  One isn't an alt, but I started Bluebell here, who had a ruined mane.  I had a tail out of a Fifi forever, and it's actually a perfect match, however, I ran out because my pliers ruined about half the hair when I was getting the clamp off of it, and well, I had a Fifi laying around and well. . .  I promised her new hair for her tail.  XD

So, first, here's Bluebell.  I still had issues with splitting plugs, but I got it under control fairly quickly as I started using a jumbo push pin AFTER I did the T-pin.  Because I'm shoving a punch needle through with a knotted plug, it's a bit more kibble to put through.  Once I did that, things went off a lot better.

I had to do that with Fifi as well.

And after all that, I had another pathetic Moondust laying around and I was going to just try to rehair her a bit more normally, but eh, I said the heck with it and perfume puff'd her.  I think Princess Moondust no longer fits.  Maybe Queen Fluff.

For both Fifi and Moondust, I tried two different yarns and I absolutely loooooove the one I used on Moondust.  This stuff is woooonderful to work with and the stuff I used on Fifi wasn't bad either.  Both are much more pigmented and much brighter than what I used on Taffeta.  The stuff on Moondust washes out bad in photos, it's much brighter and vibrant in person.  I've found though, that the Princesses seem to be my goldilocks when it comes with working with rehairs.  Their bodies are firm enough but still supple enough that I don't have a single issue with them with the punch tool I have, but the Sparkle ponies and such are much too brittle, and then ponies like Bluebell and Fifi are so soft in their vinyl that they do require some extra prep, but will work.

One I'm like... so in love with... a Peacock SHS - semi-custom, lol - had a broken earring, and all of that lead to this...

:dropjaw: Two of my favorite things! SHS and peacocks! Shes GORGEOUS, Sunshine! If you ever feel the need to rehome her... *points to self* This girl...Right here! :D

Being laid up on the couch for the past few days, I'm finally feeling well enough to get going on a few rehairs I've got going. I'm finishing up a custom MH head, and working on a few ponies in between. My secret Princess Project is about done and ready to be unveiled too! Stay tuned ya'll! :)

Sunshine, that Sealight/Seaweed is gorgeous!!!

Does anyone have suggestions for getting very stubborn flocking off without damaging symbols?  I'm getting quite frustrated with my Best Wishes!

Sunshine seriously, I already own one of your gorgeous rehairs but I keep wanting more!

I looove the peacock colors you used, seen as I'm pretty obsessed with peacocks. I might just have to find a nice bait and send it to you for a peacock treatment :)

Peacock was SO fun, I'm definitely looking for more ponies who could pull off the look... So, if anyone has baits, I'd love to do more like that, obviously they don't all need the crazy bead work... that was just for kicks - an earring replacement that spiraled out of control! :lmao:

Thanks all!

I have been so low on baits lately, everything I have would look good with Water Nixie, but as we all know, that's in short supply apparently!  >_<

BTW - That Fifi, I LOVE the way her hair looks... God I want to touch it, lmao... Srsly! It looks great! I'm still... eh mastering the yarn. I can't find any... good yarn around here! Bleh!

If I wasn't broke right now, I'd beg you to rehome Seaweed with me! I have a soft spot for Sea Ponies and really, she is gorgeous! :frolic:

Queen Fluff is a total cutie too! She looks very snuggly and warm. I think the yellow really works well with the poof in that regard.

And Saja, thank you for letting me add you on Facebook. It'll be nice to see more ponies there now that you're there. :)

Loving those perfume puffs!  ^.^

I bought some yarn to have a go, but when I brushed it out the fibers were only long enough to rehair a baby pony. How do you make sure you've got a yarn that will have nice long fibers?
