Organize ALL the ponies!

Mine are grouped together by gen, by type, and my army will be put together when I get a bigger one I would like to put them together by set eventually. Hard to put all the TEs together though. I do have 7 of them displayed on my dresser and I have several of them on another shelf and then several more with their babies on another shelf. I have all my MGR ponies together though

Mostly by gen, although due to lack of shelves/space my few g2s and 3.5s are currently up with the fashion styles.

I have my collection organized first by country since I'm in the US. Then by Year of release, then by set, certain sets are in different places other than the shelves like the Party Packs are with the playsets, and the Soft Sleepy Newborns are on my Mail-Order Shelves because they won't fit on my collections shelves. Megans, Molly's are all grouped together as are Flutters and the Summer/Windy Wings they are not next to each other but all the Flutters are grouped with year 4 and all the Summer/Windy Wings are grouped with year 6. Oddly the TE's and the SS are not grouped but are separated by years. The Mail Order and Foreign pony shelves really have no rhyme or reason to them - But they do tend to be grouped by set.

All accessories are placed with the ponies on the shelves, puzzles are stacked on the floor next to shelf.

I'm in the current process of re-organizing so these photo's are old - will update with new one's when I'm done (hahaha)

All I can say about your collection and your organization is WOW!!!!! I'm a completist and a list keeper so it was fun for me to see the ponies grouped together that way!

My collection is mainly organized by set, but I don't keep first and second sets separate from each other. I understand why people organize their shelves by pose because I'm running out of room and have a few "anything goes" shelves

I keep mine by Generation.

Gen 1: By Series (TE, SHS, Friends etc)
Gen 2: By color
Gen 3: By color
Gen 4: By Show Appearances / Non show appearances

By generation then by release date for G1s The other gens are just arranged in their respective gen

Yup - mine are like Ivy's - in chronological order of release and within each year they are grouped in their sets, with their accessories along side

I try to keep mine organised by set, so Brush n grows together, TE together etc, and my fave sets get put in the best locations too, while not so fave sets get the back rows

I def keep my G4's organized by race and mold type!  I dont care so much about organizing by color but I think those displays are pretty! =D Sometimes I wish G4 had sea ponies to collect....

I have them mostly grouped together by gen but, some other bigger stuff, like the G4 2012 fan collection gets put where it fits (which is right behind some of my G1 ponies). I do have my blind bags all organized by pony type and color though!

I have g4s hanging on the wall. Random G3 and G1 ponies just sitting in random places, but most are in sandwich bags, stored in a big bin.

G3s into colours.
