Shy or bold?

Depends on the crowd.... but I think that makes me a "polite extrovert" ^_^

If I'm in a new crowd, or where I only know one or two people, it would be rude to be all loud and brash. People are getting to know me, I'm getting to know them. It isn't the place for being loud.

Though a group of people I know and who know me, then I can be louder, and say things I think as they understand where I'm coming from, and they know I understand them. ^_^

I consider myself an introvert I tend to keep to myself and will help people only when needed, I do prefer to be out of sight and mind.  I can be social if need be , but I also prefer to observe the world around me.

Add me to the tally of situationally intro/extroverts!  I'd mostly say I'm shy, but with people I know well enough, I can be quite outgoing.  If you want to Myers-Briggs me, I'm INFJ (that's Zecora on that there pony gauge)... but I don't speak in rhyme, at least not all the time.

While I voted that I was an inbetweener, tend to be more on the shy, introverted side.  If I don't really know you or if there's a crowd I will likely keep to myself.

I'm introverted AND a bit shy-- as there is a difference. I usually don't talk unless I have something to talk about that really interests me, then it's hard to get me to shut up. But you have to get me to open up first... >.<

I am definitely more of an introvert. I get my energy from being alone. Even after being around my two best buddies for a few hours, I feel the need to go home and "recharge", as I call it.   My brother is like this too. We both, even when only around immediate family, need time alone sometimes and refuel.

In meeting new people, I can be shy. Once I get to know you, I am definitely more open. I love to make other people laugh. People who know me say I'm very entertaining and there is never a dull moment around me.   I'd let more of my sense of humor out here, but my type of humor isn't always Arena friendly, LOL.

I have come a long way since I was in my teens. I had borderline social anxiety disorder. When I graduated high school and worked for a while as a cashier, that helped me out immensely.

Extrovert like a lot. I think the years and years of working and doing the type of jobs that have me in front of a lot of people have cured any shyness I ever had. That being said in general I don't typically like people. I think I spend so much time around a bunch of them when left to my own devices I like alone time. When I'm isolated it's not really out of being an introvert or shyness it's just personal preference.

I'm an introvert and rather shy both offline and online.  Unfortunately, my shy quiet personality has been causing me all sorts of issues when trying to find a job. (I can get interviews but kill it at the interview stage.) 

When I'm around my friend or family, however, I tend to to be more talkative and let my true personality out.

I'm introverted.  Even in groups of people that I'm very comfortable with I tend to be on the quiet side.  I do have one group of friends that I am extremely extroverted with, but due to us all being married with kids and living in various parts of the country, we only get together every few years.

So for the most part, yes I prefer to keep to myself.  Or perhaps one-on-one you could say.

Introvert and shy. I tend to keep to myself and enjoy my own company. I will come out of my shell once we break the ice though. I hate crowded places and I'm not much of the party type person.

Middle of the road. Growing up and well into my mid 20s I had a server stutter. To the point it kept me from wanting to interact with people but I tried anyways.

Thing is that has made me wary of blurting or talking off the cuff, unless I know the people I'm around. So in new situations till I warm up, I come across as being quiet.

Extrovert here  It doesn't mean I don't get nervous in a new crowd but I just get on with it. I speak my mind When my boss met my husband he very diplomatically said "she's a very vocal member of the team" LOL

I voted for somewhere inbetween too    - I can be very extrovert , have an opinion on most things and dont really like not being part of the action...  I like to talk, sing, dance, travel, meet new people.. oh lots of things....but it does still  depend on the situation and the company  so sometimes I can still be quiet or even a bit shy .
I was very shy and quiet and even almost invisible until I hit my twenties, then everything changed fast
