I'm an introvert- It takes a long time for me to start talking to people. When I do though, I come out of my shell a bit more, at least when I know them.

I am extrovert, there's nothing I like more then doing a presentation or telling a story in a conversation, but I won't be the one talking ALL the time.

I'm an introvert and rather shy both offline and online.  Unfortunately, my shy quiet personality has been causing me all sorts of issues when trying to find a job. :( (I can get interviews but kill it at the interview stage.)

Extroverted/out-going personalities are perceived better in job interviews.  I manage to fake it enough... smile, look the person directly in the eye, sit up straight, speak loud enough, be friendly/inquisitive (asking questions is usually very helpful if you are shy because then you can just listen and not talk for a while!  Usually I ask about what my job functions/core responsibilities would be).

I find myself to be inbetween usually swaying more toward introversion...
I have to be a positive extrovert at my jobs (and by the end of the day I'm just exhausted from it).

About the energy/crowd thing - yep. That nails it for me. Being in a crowd of unfamiliar or even loud-chatty people can drain me.

I feel weird answering these kinds of personality questions, because what I WANT to be is the opposite of what I am, due to my anxiety.
I tend to just suffer silently as a horribly introverted person, while on the inside I am dying to just be noticed..

When I was a kid I was shy. I really wish that's all I was still.

I DESPISE making small talk, but I can be very talkative about stuff I'm interested in (like animals and toy collecting).  I usually hate parties, especially when I hardly know anyone else, but I have wonderful memories of summer dock parties with close friends.  In high school I was somewhat more shy and awkward, but I grew into myself during college, and now I'm just more reserved and don't really feel more than occasional social nervousness.  Usually I would rather keep to myself because most people either bore or annoy me.  Sorry, guess that sounds kinda rude; I'm really quite nice, but people just wear me out.

I couldn't have said it better myself, lol.  If I have a topic on which to speak, I will talk...but oftentimes, I will just keep my mouth shut if there's a group - unless specifically asks for my opinion.  Most of the time, I just like to listen and formulate my own opinions in my head.  If the situation is severe enough where it's like I NEED to give my opinion or something is going to go horribly awry, I'll do that... But I usually just keep to myself (which is strange coming from a teacher).  Teaching class I talk - obviously - but I'm always the quiet one in the staff meeting, lol. Go figure.

Around my best, best friends I can be opinionated and talkative...but that's about it.  Even with my relatives I'm the quiet one, haha.  Always have been - likely always will be.

And as KPF said - A lot of people can tend to annoy me...so I prefer to keep to myself.  Otherwise it's just too exhausting!

I'm nice though - I swear I am!

I like to keep to myself, but in my group of people im fairly open and opinionated. Just shy the rest of the time, and really don't like meeting new people or being in situations with lots of people.

It really depends on who I'm with.  If I'm around new people, I tend to be quiet until I feel comfortable around them.  Around my friends? I'm the loudest! xD

I'm very introverted when I am being myself. Over the years I have developed a positive communication "face" for work though, so I can appear pretty chatty sometimes.

Weird, because when I was a kid I wouldn't stop talking!

I chose 'it depends on the crowd'. I'm more outgoing with friends or people who know me.  With strangers I like to feel things out a bit before I become too vocal :)

I'm an extrovert! I had the afternoon off last week so I called into a local tavern and got all the old men wearing glow bracelets and playing with balloons while I commandeered the jukebox :)
Remember kids....don't drink and ebay...
