favorate old movies ?

I am just curious are any of you fellow pony fans out there found of old films?  I certainly have a soft spot for the silent film era and some of the older sound era. One of the ones I love the most is  a page of madness or otherwise known as the forgotten page.

"the cabinet of dr. caligari", "metropolis", and "carnival of souls" are three of my top favs ... they NEVER go out of fashion with me  ...

wasp woman, attack of the giant gila monsters, teenagers from outerspace, the hands of orloc, etc etc so on and so forth ... my movie collection is not that interesting to most people ... lmao black and white, several without sound, ALL with really cheesy horrible grapics ... lol LOVE EM!

I love everything made by Charlie Chaplin.  Actually I kind of like silent films better than sound films because they are so open to interpretation, opposed to having a story line that is set in dialogue.  It's kind of like reading a book instead of watching television- if that makes sense.

I love all of the Alfred Hitchcock films and anything with Bette Davis...she played some really good sinister rolls back in the day.  Then I love Shirley Temple movies too.  Lastly Margaret O'Brien...anything with her I always love.  She was so adorable when she was little...especially in "Meet me in St. Louis."  I am not into silent films though.

I can't pic a favorite old movie. My favorite scary ones are The Haunting, Carnival of Souls and The Screaming Skull. I love old musicals like 7 Brides for 7 Brothers, Calamity Jane and The Music Man.
I LOVE Buster Keaton! Steamboat Bill Jr. and The General are amazing.
I also LOVE old public service announcements and short educational films, especially from the 50's. (I call them old propaganda shorts ).

We should have a little club and everyone watch the same old movie once a week and we can discuss lol. Oh man, I keep forgetting to rent The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari! Thanks for reminding me

The Bad Seed (1956)
The House on Haunted Hill (1959)
The Last Man on Earth (1964)
Dracula (1931)
Peter Pan (the 1954 musical with Mary Martin)
It’s a Wonderful Life (1946)

I also thought Let's Make Love (1960) was cute. Personally, I think it was a much better Marilyn Monroe movie than The Seven Year Itch she's so famous for.

Two of my fav silent films! Fritz Lang was a cool guy to do Metropolis, I find it so interesting. I even got to see it on the big screen at my local theater that shows indie and older films!

I watched Charade with Cary Grant and Audrey Hepburn, and LOVED it so much. Not silent but still lovely. Suspenseful and funny

I like a lot of Marilyn Monroe and Audrey Hepburn movies. Gentlemen prefer blondes always makes me laugh,
