New hope for the translucent ponies? (Season 3 spoilers)

So, after watching the season three opener, if we don't get those darn translucent ponies I am going to cut a @%#$!!! 


What do you think? Considering the crystal ponies became clear and shiny at one point, I think we have a better shot at expecting them to become real toys. We only did see a very few number of the prototypes on Taobao, but there have been lines we have been almost completely surprised by until we see them on the shelves. And even though their model numbers reflect an early production run, it's not unusual for large companies to plan far ahead. For instance, pokemon has admitted to sitting on character designs for years at a time before they're released.

Maybe I'm just grasping at straws, but I think these have a real shot at getting made now. It's happened before, make it happen again Hasbro!

Yes I was hoping for the same thing. It would be so sad if such pretty designs went to waste

I hope they do, but I don't know why they would do those AND the regular ponies with garbage tinsel in their hair. OMG, that tinsel is the ugliest tinsel I've seen yet. It RUINS Rainbow Dash's hair! Anyway, hopefully they will, but I'm not holding my breath.

wow... ^ that's translucent AND sparkly.  just like the show!  :3   I admit, I would buy the mane 6 again if they were re-released like this... just this one time...

I've seen images of the mane 6 as glittery translucent brushable ponies awhile back and I was really excited.  I really hope we see these as real releases in store. I'm not crazy about the upcoming tinsel haired ponies. I'd rather they do something different with their bodies than just adding tinsel to their hair (which has been done before). I'm not willing to buy doubles of the mane 6 i already own with just tinsel hair added but I'd do it for sparkly bodies!!

Hmmm anybody else notice that sparklely pie doesn't have the hexagon eye shine like the rest of crystal empire



Nevermind it seems most of the toys from the line don't have it

I think she's likely just speculating since she doesn't state her source of information, but seeing the pinkie with her mane and tail factory sealed for packaging is a good sign imo

All 6 were prototyped this way and I want to say it was almost a year ago that I saw them. It would be the first time I've seen a g4 line released so much later after its reveal. I have a feeling the tinsel ponies we are seeing packaged now are the sparkly ponies replacement (but I hope I'm wrong)

The only welcome mane 6 rerelease in my book
But we haven't seen any more of those clear brushable ponies, if they were coming out I think we'd be seeing more of them (was Twilight ever found?) by now since there's been plenty of the other upcoming rerelease ponies for months.

I'm still *really* hoping they release the translucent, sparkly main 6 (maybe as a box set?) and will certainly buy them if they do - the prototypes (?) look so pretty!

(I also think it would be awesome for them to release Shining Armor and Cadence this way, too.)
