New hope for the translucent ponies? (Season 3 spoilers)

Glitter on the outside is too rough for my taste.   I want them translucent with glitter in the plastic.

As much as I think the glitter inside looks better, the G3's with it broke down very quickly and now almost all of them have issues. I also prefer the glitter on the outside because it can be easily removed.

I think the clear blind bags are a good sign! They are at least willing to make clear ponies in some form.

This is the first season 3 premiere episode I've seen so I thought I'd add some input.  I really liked it.  It was great to see Twilight move up in her schooling and I liked seeing the new royal couple.  I would like to get the figures of them but if the prince didn't have troll-like hair I would get it.  I'm thinking about getting the pack with the blind bag versions of them.  The 3-pack thing.

They sure look very pretty, but I'm wondering about the quality.
The glittery G3 bodies deteriorate so quickly. If Hasbro keeps up their cheap production, I'm sure those will be even worse.

I would really love a set of glitter in the plastic ponies but I don't think it'll work with G4s due to the neck plug and the drastic variance in thickness between the body (rather thin) and the legs (solid).  That's probably why they ended up going with the crystal shaped catchlights and tinsel hair instead.

I noticed there are no unicorns or pegasi (I hesitate to say they are all earth ponies because I think crystal ponies are their own type  ) and besides the library pony I only saw only 2 types of cutie marks for each gender:
Males have either a bow and arrow or a rook (is what I think it's supposed to be)
Females have a fleur de lis or  (I think that is) a laurel leaf.
Many of the crystal blind bags have been seen as background/secondary characters already in other places in Equestria though. 

Oh and yes we need those toys majorly! I don't even care where the glitter is, if it mixed in the plastic, on the outside like the Pinkie and AJ protos ,or if they are just shimmery/translucent like the RD, Fluttershy & Rarity prototypes looked. Gimme crystal ponies!!

I agree with BrightIdea...I would very much like to think they will get a release but unfortunately the manufacture dates on the few of these ponies we have seen pre date a lot of the earlier waves which means they have probably been test runs. Also a year between sight on Taobao and hitting stores is much longer than we have seen with any previous ponies - other than the still non existent Minty.

I think we are going to have our wishes for translucent Crystal Empire ponies fulfilled simply through the upcoming Wave 7 of blind bags which are all translucent ponies.

Target has a Fashion Style set of Shining Armor and Cadence! Shining Armor has standard nylon hair, but it's short like a mohawk. I'm working on finding space on my Pony shelf for these two.
