American Horror Story: Asylum - anyone watching??

I remember reading episode summaries of the first one and wondering if I was on drugs*. Is Asylum as chaotic?

So...did anyone else actually watch the first episode of this?  I didn't see last season, but I hear that that doesn't really matter.  This show is confusing.  I had to leave the room for a few minutes while it was on, and when I came back I swear it took five minutes for my boyfriend to fill me in on what I missed!

Also, it's hard to ask questions without spoiling the plot, lol

yes, the first season is ccompletely unrelated to the second.  there's usually quite a few stories going on, it makes it feel like a two hour show rahther than the 50 minute show that it is. and yes i saw it!

Oh my goooooooooooood, what is happening up in that asylum?  Aliens, lesbians, cane-happy nuns, and interracial relationships, oh my!

And, rosencrantz, the best summaries are on afterelton.com for serious.  Read his last season ones, they are HILARIOUS.  Half the fun of this show for me is reading the recap the next day on that site!

Also Jessica Lange is the bomb.  How have I gone this long not knowing who she is?!

i love love loved the first season, still need to check On Demand for season 2 tho. i missed the opener. =[
