Impressions on Trixie and Lyra.

Today I got Trixie, Lyra and Sunny Days.
I was super excited to find them because Trixie is one of my fav characters and Lyra is GREEN!

I rip the package apart to find some nice ponies, head and body colors matches better than some previous ones. Trixie had a minor body mark from her package but not that bad.

Well, I was combing and staring at them and I got bored of them sooo fast. They now look so plain and their color combos are not "combos" at all.
Them my brother looked at them and he was like "These ones are so monotonous"

He used to play with me when we were kids so he kind knows about it. Of course we were talking in portuguese but his word was exactly "monotonous", and I had to agree.
I remember feeling the same way about G3 Peach Pie.

 Still I like them but, somehow, they are not as cool as some other ones.

Also, I need more Rainbow ponies besides Rainbow Dash >.o

So, I'm curious, what are everyone's thoughts about Lyra and Trixie?

I find them pretty, dark blue and green G4s, what's not to love.

I love them! Lyra is a nice color that you dont really see and Trixie is super pretty blue plus i love her cutie mark and it all glittery looks awesome! (i have her from the TRU set)

I think Trixie would look better if her hair were a darker shade of blue.  I love Lyra as she is, though.  In both cases, I'm thankful we get ponies that aren't pink or purple.  Not that I hate those colors, but they're just over-represented.

I actually prefer it when ponies' hair match their bodies, because more often than not I find random hair colors thrown in aren't as pretty. I was actually super surprised at how pretty I found my G4 Pinkie Pie in person, because while I'm not overly crazy about pink ponies, I wanted her for my collection, so I was really pleased at how totally keen I was on her color combination. Same goes for Trixie and Lyra, probably two of the prettiest ponies in my collection Unsurprisingly, I'm not that huge a fan of Rainbow Dash's design.

That's probably the main reason I wanted them.

I also like Trixie's symbols.

But I don't know, now that I have them both in hands I feel like something is missing.
It's great to hear some better thoughts may be it's just my mood today. Considering that I agree with everyone I probably like them both more than I realized lol

I tend to like ponies with monochromatic color schemes. I think Lyra and Trixie are both very pretty.

I like them, especially Lyra Heartstrings.  Minty green is one of my favourite colours.  I do wish they'd make some more ponies that aren't so monochromatic though.  As much as I love those two, I do admit the colour schemes all-together are pretty boring.  I'm planning on giving Lyra Heartstrings pink streaks where her white is, just to give her a bit more "oomph" (yeah, yeah, blasphemous, not "show accurate", whatev).  And Trixie's in the middle of getting a makeover with black streaks where her white is.  But, yeah, I do love them, and I adore their body colours!  Plus, Trixie's symbol is pretty darn awesome!

Pretty sure show-Lyra has light blue in her hair instead of green.

Lyra is my favorite out of the two. Her mint green color is great.

My personal favorite out of this wave is Sunny Rays though. Her purple hair is awesome. As a matter of fact, my hair matches hers at the moment.

I didn't care for the character of Trixie but, I think they are two of my favorites released so far. Out of curiosity though, does anyone else have a Trixie who seems to have more have then usual. Mine has some thick hair.

These girls are adorable! I think I will unbox my Lyra tomorrow! If it had been possible I would have preferred her with Pinkie Pie-style eyes since they look more childlike, but still she's pretty as is. To me she does look like Trixie's sister or something thoand with the same eye style. Maybe one of them could have had Rarity eyes? Love Trixie's purple eyes and blue coloring.

I got Trixie today! She's really beautiful, I love blues and whites, so I'm naturally inclined.
