I recently read a museum catalogue about Ramses the Great...  you know, one of those BIG artbooks that's mostly pictures and long-winded history...

I just finished Until I Die, the sequel to Die For Me. Die for Me was only okay, and Until I Die was even less extraordinary. Unfortunately, however, it left off at a cliffhanger that's going to force me to read the next unremarkable book in the series when it comes out next year :P

Good news is that my copy of Insurgent finally came in though, so I can start reading that soon. Divergent was pretty good. Never did shake that Hunger Games vibe though.  (Which is not necessarily a bad thing.)

Right now I'm reading The Pirates! In An Adventure With Scientists after watching the movie The Pirates! Band of Misfits and I'm thinking I may like the movie a lot more than the books, but there are a lot of really good moments in the book so far.

I'm working my way through two graphic novels: the first volume of Nausicaä of the Valley of the Wind and then The Last Unicorn.  I'm also reading At the Back of the North Wind (love old children's books with lovely Golden Era illustrations).
If wishes were horses, they'd be My Little Ponies.

I got a hold of a used e-reader last night! He was selling it on Kijiji at a fairly decent price. Now I have more books than I can read in the next couple months. :faint:

I'm reading Musashi for a class. It's a samurai epic that was serialized in Japanese newspapers in the 1930s.

I have to power read since we're gonna be quizzed on 400 pages of it.

I'm trying to read 50 books this year, I can't remember which book I'm on (I have them all written down, I just don't have the notebook with me). At the moment I'm reading a book of short stories by Janice Galloway. I don't often read short stories but I've read one of her novels before and I found this current book in a charity shop for £1, so I couldn't leave it behind!

Lol I'm rereading The Hobbit since I found my copy. It was one of the first books I remember reading.

I'm reading "After America" by Mark Steyn. Checked out an e-book from the library. You know, that concept just amuses me. Virtually checking out a virtual book for my virtual book gadget?

I'm rereading (for like the umpteenth time since the books came out) the Outlander series by Diana Gabaldon.  It's a fun cross between torrid romance and historical fiction, with a nice dollop of the fantastic for fun. ^.^  Guilty pleasure.  I found the first, third, fourth and fifth at the thrift shop and figured, what the hay? ^.^  I'm on Drums of Autumn and I like them as much as I ever did.

But I can never read just one at a time, so I'm also reading Too Much Magic, by James Howard Kunstler (an admittedly biased look at why our society is hooped), and Jack Blank and the Imagine Nation, by Matt Myklusch (a cute book about superheroes kind of?), and City of Masks (Stravaganza book 1?) by Mary Hoffman (pseudo-Venetian alternate universe kind of?).  That last one I got at the thrift shop too, and someone had left a postcard of Marrakech in it (guess they were using it as a bookmark?).  I love used book treasures like that! ^.^

Wishlist - I'm back on (semi-) active buying again... can't buy everything on my wish list all at once (yay, back-to-school and tuition fees), but I am still looking to plump up my collection a bit more: http://mlparena.com/index.php/topic,380638.0.html

I'm reading insurgent by Veronica Roth right now. It is the sequel to Divergent. I've enjoyed both so far. Looking for the final book to come out.

I'm also gonna pick up Hidden the next book in the House of Night series. I've also got City of Fallen Angels to read.

Insurgent is great! I'm going to be reading City of Bones soon. So behind on all these series! ;)

I picked up a copy of 'Battle Royale' yesterday on my way home.  After seeing the movie for the first time in 5 years a few days ago, I HAD to give the book a go.  I'm 11 chapters in already.
