Flea Market Finds!

I got these back in June, but I wasn't a member back then so I wanted to share my happiness now! I found these from two different people. I found Glory and Confetti for $1.50 each and I got Up Up and Away for $2. The guy I got Up Up and Away from also had Twisty Tails, but some little girl got her before I did. I knew I shouldn't have waited for my dad to catch up. :'( Here they are: Confetti, Up Up and Away and Glory!

I made the mistake of waiting for someone at a bootsale once, turned around and saw the ponies I was heading for disappearing into an old ladies carrier bag I learnt my lesson - at markets/bootsales/charity shops etc I wait for no-one!

Well done.  Good pony hunting!  And you never know if that child could grow up into a fellow collector at some point.  After all, a LOT of people returned to ponies after giving them a long break recently...

I have definitely learned my lesson. I wait for no one when it comes to ponies!

I really hope that's the case. I could have gotten for $2! What a steal! Though if it weren't for her, I wouldn't have known someone had G1 ponies and could have potentially missed out on Up Up and Away if I wasted more time. I saw she had Twisty Tails in her hand and my mom asked where she got it and her mom pointed us in the direction of the vendor. You should have seen me run.


Thanks everyone for the congrats! I couldn't pass them up! Especially for those prices! I'm going to try and clean them up and restore them to their former glory.

Awesome, I have yet to find any G1's at a flea market, garage sale or thrift store. I find plenty of G3's and G4's though. The day I find a G1 is going to be a very, very good day.

I find a ton of G3's and some G4's. I did find a 2007 Cotton Candy in great condition, but I want an original Cotton Candy. I am going to try antique malls/stores because I might have a better chance at finding them there. I wish you the best of luck! Hopefully you can find G1s soon!

Same with my dad. I know what I'm looking for so I go through the aisles really quickly. I even found some Jem dolls that I quickly snatched up and those are really hard to find as well! I don't let anyone slow me down. Even my boyfriend. He knows what I'm looking for though. He knows to look under the hooves for the year and the name "Hasbro".

and yeah, lesson learned these are the occasions where you have to be quick to get what you spotted, or else they might disappear in a bag not yours... on flea markets and in used toy stores I always try to be as quick as possible and run around like crazy but this got me some steals so far (like BB Lightning for less than $2), so I'm not going to give up but yeah, maybe it's a reason why not much people like to go shopping with me when the destination is a place like this

were very similar!!  I've gone through all of the this is a my little pony, this is not training with my boyfriend.  He goes off in one direction and I go off in another I'd rather miss something small moving fast then miss a big box of something cool.
