Marshmellow Coco <3
« on: April 23, 2012, 01:23:31 PM »
Hey everyone,

I just got this Marshmellow Coco and she's in wonderful, wonderful condition. I really, really love her.
She has a super, super soft mane and tail as well as nice eyes and cutie mark.
 She's like-new really...

Except for one thing... Weird pink spots on her hoof.

I don't mind these spots that much.
They're on her non-display side and at the very bottom of her hoof, but I was wondering if there is any possible methods to try and get them off.
Even though I don't mind them.. I wanted to try and attempt to get them off if I could.

 Any ideas or suggestions? [:
 Thanks!

Also, I love her little hat and bow. They're so adorable!

Yay, I just got her too! *hoof bump*

I love the winter ponies, I just got Snow'el I and Mittens II as well. Their accessories are so cute  ^.^

Can't say I know what to do about that mark. I'm sure you'll get some good advice here though :)

I'm not sure on the spots -- I've never been able to successfully remove them. But congrats on your find! ♥

Those pink marks, can you tell what they are? Is it paint? Is it highlighter?

Its like some soft of stain. The shimmer look that the entire body has is also on these pink spots. Kinda like maybe.. just maybe.. there was pink plastic mixed into her mold? but I'm not sure. ]:

I would say it's possible that pink colored plastic got in the mold, but more likely it's a highlighter mark. Highlighter kinda sinks into the plastic...

I think sunfading is the only option you have, if it is highlighter.

Have you tried acetone on a q tip with it? I can't tell exactly what the mark is, but acetone might take if off (as long as its not sharpie or highliter). Just becareful around the hoof heart and the magnet, as acetone will remove paint and eat away at the plastic over the hoof magnet. But if it is sharpie or highlighter, the only thing that will help is sunfading. Just wrap her up in tinfoil except the part where the stain is and put her in a window. It may take a long time (like, months) but it will help.

good luck!

I love Marshmello Coco, she's one of my favorites in my G3 collection!

If it's highlighter it should sunfade out fairly quickly, I hear highlighter fades the easiest out of all fade-able stains :)

I just tried acetone with no luck. ): I figured I'd give it a go since I have it handy. Looks like I might have to go with sunfading.

if she was mine I would let her be and just consider it part of her personal quirk.

I figured if I can't get it off, that's what I'll do. I actually don't mine little pin dots or anything like that on ponies.
I feel like it gives them character. [:
