I've never tried it, but I don't see how sunfading would help.  It's pink discoloring on a blue pony... would'nt that just change the pink discoloring to white discoloring... on a blue pony?   perhaps I'm misunderstanding what sunfading actually does. ?

I would recommend sunfading! It can work great!

I'm not sure exactly how it works either, but this tutorial sunfades a pink pony to get blue/black pen marks off and it seemed to work nicely.

The UV rays in the sunlight will remove the pigment of the pink highlighter sooner than the blue pigment.  That's the theory, anyway.  It involves chemistry to some extent.  :)
