What have you seen or read about that doesn't make sense to you? Like for me it's why do you park on a driveway and drive on a parkway?

Why are indoor sprinkler systems sometimes installed on the wall instead of the ceiling where there's room and it's more practical? (Yes I saw this myself and was baffled.)

Oh yes. Why are glove compartments called glove compartments when almost nobody actually puts gloves in there? Why are cigarettes wrapped in the flimsiest excuse for plastic, but kid's toys are locked into plastic thick enough to hold back an angry lion? Why does my pineapple's tag say you should eat it directly after purchase, but I've had it for a week and it's still not ripe?

Ok yesterday I had a student that had lost their original of a paper - they know I don't keep copies (I just look to see it's done and check it off my list). I told them who to contact..... get an email back saying they had called that place and got the info they needed, but now they needed a copy faxed to them.... and asked me if they should call that place back. Umm... yeah... prolly a good idea

I never did understand the logic of local TV stations, particularly that NTV7. Not only do they cancel good shows (and take it to the extreme with MLP:FIM by cancelling the show minutes before it's supposed to air), but why the heck are they pitching Crayon Shinchan as a "Kids Hero" and pitching it to young children? I mean, come on! The humor in CS isn't even suitable for kids!

I like the "funny instructions"....

Loads of peanut packets say on the back of them "may contain nuts"...I am a little scared of the people who need this extra information cause what the heck do they think they are buying - also worried about the idiot who added "may" to this statement...

A similar question was asked elsewhere and I think the answer was: 10 hot dogs is equal to a pound of meat, which is easier for butchers to handle. Whereas bread buns are just sold in a dozen usually
My memory might be playing up on me tho
Some places do sell the same number of hotdogs and buns in a package though now

Why is it a requirement in English to have us learn a dead language (Shakespeare) when our life doesn't depend on us learning it in the first place? (It was when I took High School English).
