Off Topic / Re: Nickelodeon's Invader Zim Getting a Comic!

It is about dang time.

Poor Hook is all I have to say about that ending. He finally gets to hear the three biggest words from the woman he loves and instead of enjoying the moment she gets ripped from him. That poor man, he has the worst luck ever.

And can I just say how much I freaking adore Robin and Regina together? Seriously, they have become the new Snow and Charming for me as their romantic moments bring the biggest and stupidest smiles to my face and...I just love them to pieces.

I am excited to see Dark On Emma, but at the same time I am not chomping at the bit. Mostly because I think she will be a pretty terrible Dark One, but I could be surprised.

He may not have been writing Emma's story because he was locked up before she was born, but he WAS the Author during that crucial time. I'm pretty sure he made Snow and Charming do what they did to Lilith, Maleficent's baby. And when Snow saw Lilith really was a baby, she panicked and was desperate to save her. Her true nature broke through, and their guilt tortured them. But because the Author did what he did, influencing the Apprentice and Royals, he got punished and locked in the book. He recognized Snow and Charming, and took off. I'm really convinced of this.

Oh I fully think you are right on this part of theory and if it turns out you are wrong and Snow and Charming chose to sacrifice Maleficent's baby of their own free will I am going to be mighty disappointed as it just so goes against the characters the show has set them up to be. I mean, it would be an interesting twist if they did choose to act on their own, but at the same time it so goes against their personalities that it would almost be insulting at the same time....I dunno if I am explaining that right.

Well, there's been a revelation... when the Author ran from them, it kind of made me think... he's been tampering, right? What if he made Snow and Charming do that? He said "it made a better story" to the Apprentice... and he met them in that forest, telling them about the baby AND about the Apprentice. What if he wrote their actions? I mean, Snow was constantly unsure, regretful, and upset. She clearly didn't like this, but was oddly desperate. I think the Author was manipulating them too. He wanted a more dramatic tale for Emma's origins....

A good theory, but if you remember August said that he might not be the one writing Emma's story, and I don't think he is judging by that statement, so Emma may have nothing to do with his reason if he made the Charmings do it.

Can I just say how completely unhappy I am that Zalina is coming back in the next episode? Like, it is almost enough for me to not like this arc that I am so upset about her returning. She was such a bad character and her actress seriously overacted, just....ugh...if she stays I think I might have to back out until next season because I can't I just can't.

Pony Corral / Re: Do you unbox your G4's?

The regular ones I do only because they are so small that I am afraid I will lose them. I keep my Funko ponies in their boxes as well because I am weird and I just think they look better that way. Fashion Styles are pretty much the only ones I set free because their boxes are too gosh darn big for me to display otherwise.

Off Topic / Re: Who is your favorite (common) Batman villain?

There is no Batman for me except The Animated Series.  The Joker will always be Mark Hamill.  FOREVER.

Testify!

Anyone who calls themselves a Batman fan has to love The Joker, it is an unspoken rule. Kind of like how everyone has to love Harley Quinn, you do not have a choice in either of these matters.

Is it just me or is Elsa's hair darker and less platinum blonde? Maybe it is just the lighting in the picture, but I dunno.

Even though I despise Frozen I am surprised that I like Anna's outfit, her braids are a bit too thick for my liking though.

I have done text based roleplays since I was twelve andi have no intention of stopping even though I am twenty-seven. I tend to be on the long winded side at times, though lately I have been rather shortish with my response, falling somewhere between three or two paragraphs. :( I have never counted how many words I type up on a good day, but I have a feeling that it isn't as long as yours.

I could suggest a forum to you, but it is more on the....mature side and I am pretty sure that isn't what you are looking for. I would suggest googling roleplaying sites and looking to see which is the best for you.

I'm glad someone is with me in liking Altair more than Ezio. He was way cooler... and his story in AS Creed Revelations makes me cry.

At the moment I'm playing the Scott Pilgrim game off the PSN which is super fun but too short for my liking and a bit too easy...

Keep meaning to try out Mass Effect, I bought the first two games, but stuff keeps getting in the way XD

I am also very excited for RE6, I hope it meets my expectations!

Altair! D: I cried so hard.

Lately I have been picking my way through Dragon Age Inquisition. Next I have to finish Assassin's Creed Rogue and start AC Unity.

Pitch Perfect. Lord, that movie was awful just....Gah! I would watch Frozen for a year straight if I never had to see that movie again.

I am not taking a stance, but I am just curious - by full refund, do you mean the full $185, or $50?

He means $50.

What I don't understand is why Houston can not accept a partial refund? I mean you are going to get your money back either way and...I am just confused why paying in increments is a bad thing.

I just think you need to take a deep, calm breath and take a step back from this thread Houston and then come back to this thread to look on it with fresh eyes.

Off Topic / Re: Anyone just seen Mockingjay?
« on: December 07, 2014, 08:15:12 AM »
See? That is what the movie fails to capture, while the first half seems boring it really isn't supposed to be. It is supposed to show you Katniss' struggles with coping with the two Hunger Games she just participated in and the fact that she was saved and Peeta, the guy she tried so hard to save, got left behind. She is also dealing with the burden of being the Mockingjay, the people's symbol for rebellion, and lifted up into being this important person which she never wanted to be; as she says many times in the books, Peeta would have been the better choice.

Of course, since we are not inside Katniss' head during the movies and seeing things through her eyes this is all harder to capture and while I think the movie could have done a better job they didn't do that badly really. Jenifer Lawrence really does pull off a good Katniss, even though movie Katniss is a LOT different than book Katniss.

My advice would be to read the books if you haven't, they are a very quick read. :3

As a reader of the books I didn't care for it all that much, too much was left out and the pacing felt a bit weird to me. I did like some things they added in to add more depth to the story, like seeing the Districts rebel, since we are not singled to Katniss' point of view. And they did leave key points in, so it wasn't terrible, but it just wasn't as good as it could have been. Some of the dialog was a bit off too at points, but I can overlook that.

Katniss in the book is A LOT more damaged mentally then Katniss in the movie and spends a lot more time in the first half of the book recovering in the hospital of thirteen along with building up a friendship with Fennick that I am very sad the movie left out. Also, the book goes into more detail about the way things are run in thirteen and I enjoyed that. Needless to say, I would read the book if you haven't already, but the movie version isn't terrible.
